MindTheGap, my solicitor is saying that any absence of more than 6 months (in whole 5 years) should be mentioned in section 7.11.
It contradicts to your point - "As the form asks for "any periods of absence of more than 6 months during that time." - leave it blank if there are none.".
Have you confirmed it with someone or has anyone (who has more than 180 absence but broken in two years) applied with your understanding of it?
