With people, you do not "engineer", you guide, request, cajole, plead.

You may just have got yourself the job. Tell you what, as you are quite active on this thread and in this forum, why don't you moderate it? One does not need tools or title to moderate forums, one merely needs to be persuasive. Moderation is, after all, the art of guiding people to work better together.

So, keep a regular eye on the posts in this thread and the timeline thread and advise people to post in one or the other, as you see fit.

Indeed, if more people did this, it will help improve the quality of the forums all around.

Stop it guys. I have to agree with casa here , they're not getting paid to do anything and they have their own lives.

People are ignorant and it's pissing me off . I saw people discussing on the new timeline thread even though there are discussions going on here . And I'm seeing timelines laid out here .

Sigh. There's nothing we can do.

So instead of moving a message posted in the wrong thread you guys choose to start over a Long debate where you refuse to accept solutions and do nothing to solve the issue .

==> Meaning you have time to debate but not to move and reorganize threads !!

You know what I am not getting involved anymore , whoever wanna do something just do it !!

And to all members sending me private messages about this matter, please STOP IT and contact the moderators as they are in charge here!

Tati*, thank you for taking the initiative to summarise the timeline thread.

I suggest that either you or somebody else could look at entering the information into an online spreadsheet on Google Docs or Microsoft Office and paste the information into these forums from time to time, as has been done in the naturalisation forums a while ago.

Here is an example: Re: October 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline.

That would help the timeline aspect of this thread.

Wrong solution. Persuade people to post in the correct threads, not move posts around for them.

Moderators only use their authority to block threads in extremis. It is up to the users to police themselves and guide each other.

Can you help with my case a little ? it looks like you guys have experience in these applications.
I was speaking about Fasi who doesnt appear to know that spamming is not allowed in this forum !!

besides Ive seen some people posting timelines here, Guys you can share your timelines by putting them on your signature or sharing them on the Timeline Only thread

Can any of the moderators move the timelines to the proper thread? thx
Hi Alex

I think this thread is for discussion related to EEA2/FM-EFM problems. and the question I send it here is I think related to the EEA/FM application. I suppose to get a solution as I believe you guys are more experience and knowledgeable person on this forum. still my question is spamming the thread is really I dont' understand how as its clearly mention on the subject that its a discussion thread where we can get some ideas related to EEA FM problems.

I hope you understand my point of view as well. and I do apologize if make this thread spam as I don't have this intention in my mind.

thanks

Although, this thread is for discussions, I strongly agree with Secret Simon. That is the best way to do timelines. All the info is summarised there, easy for anybody who wants to have a look. I saw a similar thing in the ILR (LR) some time ago, It's just sad that it's not here...

Yes, yes ,missed DX delivery is my RC, RC! (Applied 4th Aug 2015, issued 3rd Jan 2016, detail see http://www.immigrationboards.com/eea-ro ... l#p1291117)
1.DX only delivers RC Card with a paper. No documents return.
2. RC card now is faster than documents.
3.DX is really the worst carrier I've ever experienced. They only deliver 9am-5pm from Monday to Friday. So you are destined to miss it if you work. Re-arrange delivery. If you want to book a morning or afternoon session, they charge you more than 6 pounds! Not to waste one day, I paid. But they were late!!!! And once they are late, they say you are not there.... I don't know what to say. And you know what? Every call you made is charged and expensive..... because you can't get hold of a real person to talk to you without going through numerous machine questions.... easily several pounds go...
Worst experience ever, but whatever, it's finally over.

No matter what, I get RC Card.
No forget to mention that this forum helps me a lot along the way. Many thanks!
Congrats Nina.. I got mine too.. Hope Kristo get too..

I sent off my application for EEA(FM) residency card (to Home Office, PO Box 590, Durham) on 30th December 2015, but today (13th January 2016) I still haven't received any feedback. No letter, no phone call, no fees taken from bank account. Then it just struck me today that my bank card failed soon after I sent the applicaiton, and my bank subsequently sent me a replacement card. So any attempt the Home Office would have made to take the payment would have failed. Now, I understand they return everything if payment hasn't worked within 5 days of trying, and that would be about now. But I would really like to give them my new payment details and to not hold everything up unnecessarily by them returning the documents back to me and me sending them off again.

So, in a nutshell, does anyone know how to phone/email them? I can send a letter tomorrow in the post with updated payment details, but this will probably get to them too late. I can't find a phone number or email address anywhere...

Hello everyone,

My wife signed for her Residence Card (dated 11.01.2016) today.
"Family Member - EU Residence" 5 years.
Delivered by DX couriers.
They tried to deliver yesterday and left a card. I re-arranged delivery online.
Luckily, my wife was home all day.

It is exactly 5 months since her application was received.

We are both over the moon and free to travel at last.

All the best to everyone still waiting.
This forum helped me keep my sanity while we waited.

DX seems to be a really sh*tty (sorry) delivery company .

google this : DX House
Ridgeway
Iver
Bucks
SL0 9JQ

It has a 1 star rating on google , Why does the HO use DX instead of Royalmail , UPS , FedEx.etc ?

It boggles my mind .
