I would suggest you visit the vfs office or call them to find out and get the list of documents that they r looking for as the requirement keeps changing.

Just wanted to confirm if we need to submit Original documents for EC or even photocopies will work?

I know the HO approval needs to be ORIGINAL. I am talking abt Degree, Bank Statement, Salary Slips, Marriage Certificates and so on.

Hi Hari,

I hope you have uploaded your CV on the UK job portals... like:

www.reed.co.uk, www.jobsite.co.uk and so on....

Trust me that is the only way to get a job in the UK.. Yoy may have to call trge recruiter and negotiate a date with them and once you have 4-5 interviews lined up, fly to Uk attend all of them one after another and this way your ball start rolling.

This is my anticipation. If someone has a better idea, please do not hesitate to share and educte me and others.

Anyone applied for EC on 12th Nov or somewhere around that date ? My status still shows application forwarded to BHC. Integra verification was done with my current employer on 19th Nov. Anybody has any updates or has anyone received EC when applied on or after 12th Nov ? Today is 13th working day for me.

They are not even mentioning whether integra verification is done or whether thay have received integra reports or they are yet to receive them. Nothing! I guess Chennai is much better than Mumbai. I had written to them even last week, and I have got the same reply copy-pasted.

i send my application on 5th nov from Hyderabad. still there is no update on my status. I wrote to british high commision. the reply is given below.

You may wish to note that we are in receipt of your verification report from Integra. A decision is yet to be made on your visa application.
Please allow enough time for us to process your application, and remember that HSMP applications need intense assessment as per the requirements of the Immigration rules, it may take slightly longer for us to make a decision about your application.

Your co-operation in this regard in highly appreciated.

1) Is Integra Verification compulsory
2) Is there a website to check information on Integra
3) Is there a seprate fee for Integra.
4) I am applying for EC with my spouse, Most of the funds are in my spouse's account and name, Can I show those funds for my application Or is it advisable to transfer them to my name.
5) Do I need to submit copies of all the documents as well.

Any help would be great...

Hi guys! Today was 16th day after I applied for EC (12th Nov was my application date). Still no update as the SMS still shows application forwarded..........
Anyone applied during similar dates and have got EC ? I really dont know whats happening with my application. I fear EC might get refused now!

Yeah, i applied on 16th Nov from bangalore, which will ultimately go to BHC, chennai. Even i don't see any status update on my application. I called up VFS Chennai, they said its still under verification.

!! I posted this on other threads but did not get a response !!

I seek your advise on my EC case. I plan to go to the UK in Jan 2008.

My wife (who's expecting a child in April) will join me after the delivery in May/June. After the child's birth she will get the child's name attached to her passport.

Would you recommend me to apply for my wife's EC along with mine? OR shall I wait till my child's birth and then apply for EC for both of them?

In case I apply for my wife's EC along with mine, will we have to file a seperate EC for the kid or would the inclusion of child's name on my wife's passport be sufficient (since she will have an EC on her passport)?

Hi Everyone,

I got EC stamped from 4th Dec. for 2 yrs. I collected the passport from VFS as I had taken that option and not the courier one. Thanks to everyone for all their support. This forum has been an immense help to me to get my EC.

Thanks for your reply. I had my integra verification in my office on 19th Nov. After that there was no call again. I dont know if they verified my degree certificates. I think it was verified since after 19th Nov. till 5th Dec. there was no update from VFS or BHC, thats why I think they were verifying my degree certificates between these dates.
