Hi malcolmrx, it seems like now there is another long period of waiting to get the cert. This used to be 4-6 weeks (from the previous posts) but don't know how long this will take. I am in the similar situation and waiting for almost 13 weeks now

Please update the forum when you receive this.
Thanks and Good luck

Naturalisation Cert

Post by MNIB » Tue Feb 23, 2010 4:24 pm

http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/Te ... on%20certs

The website says waiting time will be adjusted to 4 weeks by the end of FEB 10, and threre is no update from the dept after that.

Anybody out there got your certs in 4 weeks? also like to know will there be any use if I make a call to citizenship help line?

Hi Jakli, do you know what their timelines were? I mean how long it took to get the cert after taking the oath?

6 weeks now...

Post by MNIB » Fri Mar 05, 2010 5:22 pm

It has been 6 weeks since I first sent my oath certifiacte along with the fee, haven't got any cert yet.

Any idea on how long will it take, the website says it could take between 4-6 weeks.

Appreciate your comments here

At last.. i received my certificate on 8\03. submitted all docs with fee on 10\12. so took 3 months roughly around 12 weeks including christmas holidays.
seems like there is a bit of pace happening there as mentioned by them on the website. good to all...
will be applying for passport next week God willing...
take care folks.

Hi!

I just want to know the current experience of certificate waiting times. I believe it used to take a long time but I heard they have shortened the waiting time now following a court case. Is that true?

If so how long is it taking now?

Cheers.

Hi guys,
Got my cert today, took exactly 5 weeks for me. So it does look like they do keep by their 4-6 weeks time frame now.
Sent it all of today for my passport.

Oh heartiest congratulations. You must be really delighted with yourself. I hope that you get your passport really quickly too. Just checked Passport.ie and it says that its 20 more days before you get your passport. So best of luck mate.

Cheers.

I also would like to confirm that the Naturalisation certificate is now taking only 5 weeks. I sent mine in the last week of Feb and I received it today.

Good luck to every one else.

I got my cert by registered post this morning. Took only 3 weeks. It looks like INIS are turning a new leaf. Good luck to those waiting.

Good for you! Mine just hit the 3 weeks mark, hope I get it soon then...I had resigned myself to the 3month wait...

Hi,
I’m in court on the 27th for the oath. What must be sent back for the certificate? Yellow form signed by the judge, €950, 2 x photographs and GNIB card, anything else?
