Hi Maxiy

Yes maybe because you are both living in Egypt. I think they are making the calls from Cairo again now and not from London. I dont know what goes on there! Its all a guessing game. I do hope I get it before xmas though.

That would make sense, hopefully you will get a call from Cairo soon. That must have been a tough application to put together, when I lived in Egypt I could not fulfil all requirements, hence why I had to come back to the UK first without my man :( Good for you and good luck!! :)

Hi Kaza

I know the wait is a nightmare but it seems like everyone who applied on in September has got theirs now so you shouldn't be waiting too long. They have had two working days off over xmas and 1 at new year which will have caused a bit of a delay.

Good luck and keep us updated x

hiya,

thanks for your kind words. Yeah the office is closed till monday this week and the same next!!! Keep thinking that i would very much like to work in this office , with all the hols they get lol!!

yeah hope we get soon, the flights are very reasonable at the end of Jan beginning of feb. If we go to appeal then i will be making a big complaint as i don't think its fair that we should have to pay more money i think the 900+ we paid is alot of money. But enshalla that won't happen, but my friend was refused but for her their appeal is free.

let me know how you get on.

take care and know you are not alone x

hiya,

friends were refused because of english exam. They had been informed incorrectly about the way to prove that they had a degree in english.

Too be honest there is not much help out there really, unless you want to pay hundreds of pounds for lawyers.

Initially when i returned to the uk i sought advise from an immigration service provided by citazens advise but i was unemployed at the time so was free. Once i was working again it would have been £150 per hour.

I can understand that the government needs to take care about who is given a visa as i'm sure many of us have read the many stories of scam marriages but for those of us are genuine and normal working people who have fallen in love and just want a normal life this whole process is very difficult and at times emotional.

but we all need to stay strong and know our lives will eventually begin with our husbands or wife at our sides.

happy new year to everyone in this position x

morning everyone

i have just spoken to worldbridge, as the tracking thing is still saying "on the way to visa section" and they have just told me it is now 90 working days not 60 as we were originally told...i am absolutely fuming to be honest. i think if we were told 60 days then they should stick to that, we have all waiting long enough

think i may phone my solicitor to see what she advises

hi, everyone

you're not the only one who's fumming. I don't believe it. it's now been 92 days since we applied for our visa and the targets state that 95% of all visa must be completed by 60 working days which i think we are all now just about there or over.

So are we the 5% of Octobers that have not been completed.

My husband and i applied 6 working days after becks taking into account the 6 working days off we should have heard by now. They were granted on 20th December.

This is so unfair, do these people not think that our lives are in limbo at the moment that we cannot move on or do anything. I wonder how they would feel if it was them.

You know customer service is rubbish we all paid near enough £1000 for this so called service and what do we get, nothing, no upto date information about what stage our applications are at or anyone to talk to to give us hope.

This is discusting and now they expect us to pay again if we need to appeal. Pay what? What do we actually get for our money? Not much really????

What do you all think? Or am i just P""""d off?

hi, well i've just tried getting in touch with the boarder agency here in the uk and there is no one you can talk too.

I don't know about you but i'm really angry, if you look at September figures they had 78% of settlement by 60 days, so surely we all should be in those figures because we all applied at the begining of october. My god i had my call from london within a week of applying and he said that the call could not influence the descion but would spead things up. All i will say to that is b""""""s.

What i don't understand is how they can suddenly go from 60 days to 90 days in a matter of a week? This can clearly be seen by Becks and kimella getting thier visas and the dates they applied.

I am really fed up next thing they'll be comming back to us and saying our relationships are not real because we don't see our husbands enough. No because we're here setting up homes, ensuring that we earn enough money so that we don't claim any benefits etc etc etc.

The worse thing is they could still refuse our visa's and then we have to go through more waiting and s""t. Think i'll be suicidal then.

If you hear anything please let me know, I'll do the same.

take care everyone and enshalla soon all will be well x x
