I will now start to seriously work on petition and campaign for UKBA to improve the service standard. In the meantime wishing you all the best.
If you have any reason that you need to leave the country in next 12 months DON'T USE THE POSTAL METHOD!! And if you do postal, DON'T EXPECT IT BACK BEFORE 6 MONTHS, that's how long it takes for them to pile our applications.
There's no point in complaining without doing something yourself, so be proactive in campaign and petitions IF you can join in such things.
Good luck!!
I'm exactly 6 months and 3 days now. What phone number did you use? I can never get through.sanks wrote:6 months and 3 weeks still waiting. Called UKBA today again. A lady answered who wasn't particularly helpful. Answered the phone and asked what can she do for me. As soon as I mentioned about ILR time line her tone kind of changed and asked me straight away when did I apply, as if I have only applied few months ago and being impatient. Anyway when I said August she took my details and said the standard line of response.
I asked about the time line or any expected time of process completion but ofcourse there is none. Infact very politely she had asked me to wait till UKBA contacts me (in other words don't call them!)
Anyway I am cancelling my holiday plans next week so thats gone out of the window for now. Will continue to wait.
Now that ain't right. I completed my biometrics before you sent your application and I'm still waiting!bale541 wrote:Hi All

Fantastic news, Baxx. Many congratulations. Sorry for not sending this sooner..... I'm in Malaysia at the moment, and had problems getting internet access. I hope you have now received your BRP?Baxx wrote:Just received a phone call from my adviser that my application was finally approved.

The number is 0870 606 7766. Its true that they have made all the possible efforts to ensure that you don't get through . Their IVR menu never gives us the right option. I had to try many times myself to master the trick. Anyway you need to press 4 from the first set of options and then 2 on the second set of options. It will take atleast 13 minutes to get through and if you go over 15 I believe there is an automatic drop off point. But personally I believe 4P.M is the best time to call even though will have to wait 10 to 12 minutes you always seems to get through.
Best of luck.
