Hi its almost 7 months of waiting for me and also i dont believe there is anything else we can do, complaints or a solicitor its just waste of time and money. 10 months of waiting thats shocking. I am getting very tired now with this waiting or (maybe they want me to get tired), have not seen my wife for more than 8 months :(

sanks wrote:I applied on 28th Aug 2012. Very soon I will be completing my 1 year :) wait. Almost finished 10 months now and only 2 more months to go for a whole year :). I am exhausted now. Tried all sorts of things. Tried emailing and sending letters as well. I only got the standard response from them. Infact the complaints email address just rejected my email saying that address is not there in use anymore. But buddy, my advise is to continue doing the same stuff again and again (although I am no one to advice). Call them atleast once a week to make sure that they haven't lost our documents. Apart from that I honestly don't believe there is anything else we can do.

Good luck with yours. I sincerely hope you get yours soon.

As I mentioned in my timeline, I applied for ILR on 7th of December 2012 with 2X dependants and got my biometrics done on 15th of January 2013. From that date to onwards, didn't hear anything from UKBA.
Just by yesterday, I called ukba helpline. The officer asked me 4-5 questions and replied me with the most frequent and typical answer:
"Your application is in process, you have to wait until UKBA contacts you."
Though I told him in the start of my call that my application have completed 6 months time frame :-/
The way he replied was clearly indicating that I should not contact ukba further plus I also feel it useless to contact them via phone :-/
Is there any way I can send them my request via email. Do any of my respected fellow members of this forum know any specific email address/addresses where at least somebody can get a satisfactory answer. It would also be appreciable if somebody can recommend their official address where I can send a hard copy of my complaint. This seems to be quite ridiculous to me to be honest. Should I call them again and again as if its fruitful.

Best Regards

My application was sent in October, but as yet, I've heard nothing.
However, have heard from a few other sources that they are processing October now. I'll let you know...!

I've filed my husband ILR visa SET(O) by post and it has been more than 3 weeks now and UKBA didn't take the fee. Is this is the normal time frame or should I call them to ask?

The only area in which they are quick and efficient is the talking payments. Normal they take payment within 2-5 days after they receive application. Better to check with them ...also better to confirm that they receive the application....

thanks - I got application back and they have marked it INVALID - due to payment problem.

I've booked a in-person appointment now. Is this going to create any problem for us ? as they have marked our application invalid due to wrong card detail ? any experience please share

The waiting game

Post by shaheed » Mon Jun 24, 2013 5:52 pm

Hi All,

I decided to join this forum after waiting and waiting and now I am feeling more edgy as the time goes by.

This is my timeline (so far):
Posted Set(o): 8 Jan 2013
Took payment the same week
Biometrics done: 31 Jan 2013

I havent heard anything since. It is appraoching that 6 month point but reading through the posts above it seems there is little hope of receiving it for a while still. I am going to write to them and phone them and see what happens.

Thanks to all for the their stories. It helps keeping me sane.

Shaheed

ILR - Tracker

Post by ilr-tracker » Tue Jun 25, 2013 11:16 pm

Hi Friends,
To track application status I have launched a new thread, Would appreciate if you could populate the lines in the tracker so that it helps others & yourself to estimate the timelines.

ILR tracker is missing on SkyDrive

Post by psg70 » Wed Jun 26, 2013 9:03 am

Hi All,

Just tried to check the nice XLS based ILR tracker, which was available on skydrive at http://sdrv.ms/15vfBgu, but seems it has been deleted or moved somewhere else. Anybody has an update regarding this?

Thanks
