Mine was dated 22nd November. I would wait until this month end before calling them.

I think its quite simple to know the service standard of UKBA if we use Right to Information act and ask how many Set (O) postal applications they have received between 1st October 12 and 31st January 2013, how many have been decided and how many are pending.

Hey Congrats ,
On the ILR letter what date it state that your ILR is effective from. I read somewhere that it the date from which your 1 yr countdown to Citizenship starts.

Just called up UKBA, its real testing the patience in life.
They will just read whatever its on screen,"application still processing" that's it. I asked about there should be some deadline can not just keep people hanging around for 8-9 months answer was sometime it will take time to process ILR applications.

Last week as per this forum UKBA made little progress but seems to be again they are back to same pace..

ITs SET O on TIER 1, Dont know the location but got Documents back from Liverpool.

Just added the post to keep moral up for all those who has recently applied and frustrated looking at all the messages from people who hasn't got the response for long time...

Thanks for update....
This is really surprising ... we have not seen update even from the people who applied in Dec, Jan, Fab and even in March under Tier(1) - 5 year route category..... I think you are the lucky one who got this bumper prize .. :) ...BTW i have similar timeline like yours as I applied on 4th April under the same category but still have no news .... :)

We applied end of October 2012 and nothing yet! We are waiting 8 1/2 months now for a straightforward SET (M) application. I am British and my husband is Egyptian (we were married 4 years while living in Italy where he had ILR and lived and worked for 20 years before coming back to the UK!!!). The case could not be more straightforward but still nada! :-(

Hi Spring, BRP
Thank you for your time and writing all this for me i really appreciate for all help and keeping me human.

I already lost my holiday/flights and not being able to see my wife, i am gonna wait till end of july and see if i get anything from ~~UKBA.

I am really surprised to see people that applied after jan 2013 and already got their ILR, so how the UKBA picks the applications and in what order only god knows.

I also lost all interest in calling them every time its the same standard response.

All the best.

Hi bl2913,

Don't give up, there is always hope!

Have you tried expediting your application by faxing/emailing/calling the HO with your humble but urgent request and flight tickets/details as evidence?

All the best.
Hi spring
Thanks for your reply, this forum and people are great i always get some hope after reading posts.
Its to late now should be flying on fri , thats the life sometime you win and sometime lose.
Have not tried anything to speed up the processing as i believe only someone really ill or death in close family and then you can speed it up.
Seen so many people on here that tried and many not even got a reply from them.

Hi bl2913

I already had ILR last year but use to visit this forum sometimes. My application was with UKBA for 5 months in June 12. (applied Jan 12). I had better job offer and my interview was successful. My new employer had a only concern about my original documents. Even I was aware about Employee checking services (by employer), I wrote a letter to my MP (online on MP website) saying, my employer don't want to go via that route and I loose the better job opportunity only because UKBA took 5 months. I also wrote that if I don't get this job (with higher salary than current one) HMRC also loose higher tax. (this is not the reason specified by UKBA i.e. someone ill in your family, etc)

Very Next day after writing letter to my MP, I received a CC copy from my MP letter addressing UKBA. aprrox 19 June and my decisions made by UKBA on 22 June and received documents i think on 24 or 25 June.

So don't give up, I think try all these things altogether.
1. Fax a letter saying it is more that 7 months with your ticket, etc
2. Call them once or twice
3. Write a letter to you MP (attached your ticket, etc)

Do it today and who knows, you might get that in time.

Regards & Best Luck

Just been told to wait

Post by desi0006 » Mon Jul 15, 2013 12:13 pm

Ok, My patience gave up today and I called them to ask anyway.

As usual and expected : I am told to wait. I asked: Its more than 6 months and its not done yet, but there must be some maximum limit to waiting period ? Well the answer was "we understand its more than 6 months but you must wait".

Is there an email or fax address?
Does anyone have a template or covering letter format regarding contacting local MP?

Cheers

I called the BA on Friday as my six months was over last week. The woman I spoke to, after I said the " 99% in six months" was a fallacy, basically told me they were just now beginning to work on November and December applications, all the time still insisting that they were still achieving 99%. Wrote my MP about it. Will see what he says.

Hi All,

Its a long wait for everyone, I found below article and found that there is a quite big backlog with UKBA since mid 2012. And with recent changes in UKBA department where UKBA is split into two might have increased this backlog more. Request you to look into settlement visa processing percentile within excel document, might be of interest to many.

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... migration/

I am too waiting for my documents and BRP, its worth waiting and have patience. It seems its taking 7-8 months on an average.

SET (O), Tier 1, applied along with 2 dependents

Applied: 07th feb 2013
Acknowledged : 12th Feb 2013
Responded and fees taken: 12th feb 2013
Biometric letter received: 3rd march 2013
Biometrics taken: 3rd march 2013

Two keys are essential here : Have full faith on your Mighty Lord and patience.
