Joybaba,

as far I know waiting time of 9 month will NOT be counted towards my naturization.

I recieved my bio-metri card today and issue date on it is 23rd July 2013. That means I can apply for naturization on 23rd July 2014.

However, my last visa expired on 4th October, 2012. Should have got date on my bio-metric card as 4th October, 2012.

If any members know on the process of naturization w.r.t criteria, whether 1 yr from last visa expiry date or from date on bio-metric card, please let the forum know.

Regards

It is 15 months from Date of ILR application and only if the decision on ILR was protracted by no fault of the applicant then they qualify under Para 7.5g @ page 16. Refer the below link-
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... iew=Binary

Another 4 months for you

Application: ILR SET(O) Other
Date submitted: 13 November 2012
Acknowledgement Letter: never received
Biometrics Enrolment Letter: 22 MARCH 2013
Biometrics Enrolled: 27 March 2013 (the day my solicitor received the letter)
Letter from UKBA to MP: 13 May 2013 stating my application "is waiting to be assigned to a caseworker for consideration"
Approval Received: ???
Return of passport & docs: ???
BRP ILR Received: ???

My case is complicated, but the fact is that no one had even taken a look at it within the six month period. I didn't even get biometric enrolment invite until March!

Through my solicitor, I submitted an official complaint which the UKBA "aims" to respond to within 20 business days. That didn't happen, of course. A second complaint has also gone unanswered (sent 28 June). I have asked my MP to continue to write to the UKBA looking for answers. It took three letters from her before they replied in May and they have yet to answer a further two (possibly three) since that time.

Despair isn't a word I use lightly, but it has reached that point. I have no valid ID. I haven't been able to work as I need a new CRB to do my job. All I have is my US birth certificate, which isn't accepted for that. I've contacted my embassy who might issue me an emergency passport IF the UKBA will put in writing that they cannot return my passport without the application being withdrawn.

It's all such a big, awful mess and it has really taken a toll on me. Interesting to see here that they seem to be getting to November applications now, but I know there is every chance that will be meaningless for me. After all, I never had an acknowledgment letter and it took them 4 months to send me the biometric invite.

Anyway, that's my unfortunate story in a nutshell.

Oh and hi there.

I feel your pain bud. I am in the similar state here. I applied in Aug 2012 and had my Bio done in Nov. That's it, nothing since then. Complained many times to UKBA but no reply. Many requests to my MP but now reply. Wrote to Ombudsman but no reply. So in a nutshell I am stuck. Lets see.

Urgent advise needed. Passport validity six months rule

Post by smshad » Sat Jul 27, 2013 11:24 am

Hi everyone,

I have booked in person appointment for my wife’s ILR at Croydon office on 9th August 2013 and I have already paid £100.00 booking fee. She was granted FLR (M) in June 2013.

I have just realised that my wife’s passport will expire on 15 December, 2013 so we have less than six months validity for her passport. I know that if we apply for visa outside the UK then they require at least six months validity. I could not find any guidance for passport validity rule for applying inside the UK.

Does the six months validity of passport rule applies for the visa applications made within UK? Anyone with similar experience or knowledge, please advise.
Thanks.
Shad.

Hello guys. Do you have to pay for biometric fingerprint if you put in application for indefinite leave?

Hi guys. Yes, thats the number. There has always been much reluctance to give information. I have called every monday since my 6 month mark and the level of information I receive is varied. Twice though I got through to people who were willing to give more information than the usual "incomplete, just wait". About 4 weeks ago I heard about the Oct applications and was told at the time they had "not got to mine as it was Dec". This week I was told that it is now under active consideration by a case worker and I should await its conclusion. They would not commit as to how long this "active consideration" would go for
