It seems lots of October applicants havent heard anything. I applied on 17th of October on a 5year + ILR with my wife, same status. Our daughter born here was naturalized last year. I thought this and my stable (permanent) job status would help to speed the process up. But no luck so far. I have called the HO few times and have heard "the under consideration" reply each time. I dont get it why some in our situation would get in a month while we havent heard back in three months?!

would be great if other October applicants post their status to see how many are on the waiting list

fingers crossed and all the best to everyone

What nationality are you? Seems like the Asians and those from Middle East are under the radar

Eligibility criteria: indefinite leave to remain (5 yr WP + 1yr ILR)
Language criteria met (UK degree plus life test in UK)
Method of application: NCS
Council name if NCS used: Islington
Date of application: 25/10/2014
Payment method : Credit Card
Date of receipt by UKBA: 28/10/2014
Date of debit or clearance of fees: sometime in nov
Date of aknowlegment: 20/11/2014
Date approval received: Waiting
Date of ceremony:Waiting

Now I'm starting to think it's going to be refused! How long does it generally take before refusals are sent?![/quote]

Can you please explain how you reached that conclusion?? ..... looking at the spreadsheet there are quite a few Asians who have already got their approvals.

Date of application: 01/10/2014

I find it extremely disturbing that some applications do not even take a month or two to process, while others are kept waiting! If the application was free I could understand people having slightly more patience, however I feel that the Home Office are messing with our emotions here. I am extremely upset and worried that they will not meet their 6 month deadline after going through other months. I have a holiday booked for the end of April and i am panicking!

I feel your pain. I waited for ILR for 2 years and have just resolved myself to the fact that it's just my luck that I'll always be kept waiting. I've called them twice and both times they've told me my application is still 'under consideration' and I shouldn't call them until after 6 months. It's just very disheartening since I haven't seen any approvals for October from 2015 either.

It honestly does not depend on one person/factor alone. My friend received ILR after 6 months but citizenship in one-and-half weeks (record so far among people I know). Good luck :)

I just find it strange that their call centre cannot even tell me if it has been assigned to a caseworker or if it is just laying around waiting to be dealt with. They were very quick to take the £906 off though so why can they not provide you with a little more information.

When I applied for my EEA residence permit back in the day, it took them almost 8 months to issue, so at this stage I have no faith in what they are doing!

I have submitted every piece of evidence (tried to make it easier for them) they need to process the application so they have no reason to take this amount of time.

Anyways - lets hope and pray they get their act together and we all get our decision as per the 6 month letter.

Good luck guys!

I feel the same guys, the long wait is frustrating as you see some apps being decided so soon and some of us have to wait for so long. One would think they have done all the checks at the time of ILR so citizenship app should be quick but clearly that's not the case.
I'm waiting since i applied on 10/10/2014

Looks like they have kept all pending October application somewhere and have forgotten about it.

No news of any approval since Christmas..its so frustrating checking letter box daily with the hope and finding nothing such... They should have some online tracking system if that's what there customer service operator tell you every time and I quote 'Your application is in progress. We can't tell you anything before 6 months' :)
Hoping to get my British passport by end of this year ;)

Sorry for clutter here..got bored of checking timeline and finding nothing new.
