Is there any instance of applicants not invited for ceremony inspite of paying the fees and receiving confirmation for more than 6 months to 9 months. Have we seen any such instances?
Someone here posted their story of being a 2023 applicant and getting approved in 3-4 months (can't recall exactly), but not getting invited to the ceremony.

iam not asking abt 2023 case but in general, is there any precedent of applicants not getting invite inspite of paying the fee and getting the payment confirmation for more than 6 months. if it is specific to 2023, we know why they may not get invited inspite of paying early.

Anyone got an invitation yet? I expect people will start getting the invitation next week.

I have not received my decision letter and I have contacted them, they only said your application continues to be processed however my vetting disclosure was in mid-July. Is there anybody else with similar situation? or is it odd? I know some other applicants with later disclosure (e.g., in August) they got their decision letter ... BTW, i am early 2022 applicant.

To add to this, i had a ticket that had overlapping with the ceremonies in Dec, I know i have almost no chance for the ceremony in Dec, even-though I have changed my ticket to be in Dublin for 18 and 19th just in case with penalty to change the ticket.

Read the e-mail dated 8 Nov 23 stated "Update on eVetting progress
Citizenship Division continues to work through a high volume of eVetting submissions. In June of this year we wrote to 13,000 applicants and provided them with eVetting links. Since then nearly 9,000 have been processed. This is significant progress and the division is on course to have the remainder complete before the end of the year allowing us to issue decisions on these Citizenship applications in 2023. If you have filled in your eVetting form we would like to assure you that we have the information and our teams are working on it and we aim to have it completed by the end of the year"

Has anyone received invites yet to the ceremonies ? Its really not considerate at all for us to have to wait for everything. This also impacts many with their Christmas plans ?

I have wrote this in another post. I got a letter (dated Nov 20) with my approval that reads:

"If you wish to be considered for inclusion in the upcoming Citizenship Ceremonies due to be held on 18th/19th December 2023 in the convention Centre, Dublin, it is essential that you complete the steps below (fees payment) within 10 days from the date of this letter"

From reading this I understand that they will be finalising approvals that might fit into December's ceremony until Nov 30 and then sending invites in early December. Fingers crossed I can make it in December and start moving the process forward

I have received exact same approval letter today.

Unfortunately I had submitted my passport photograph in pdf instead of JPEG as requested, while processing the €950. Can anyone confirm if this doesn’t really matter?

I’ve submitted mine in a different size unfortunately…let’s wait and see what’s going to happen. To be honest, it shouldn't matter that much as that photo will go on the certificate…

did you get the approval for payment or did you get the invite for ceremony? your msg is confusing. Approval on 23rd but the invitation is sent on 20th

I assume OP means they got an approval letter sent on 20th (which they received on 23rd).

That seems like “invite for payment” letter as OP does not mention when they have paid.
My friend got invite to the October’s ceremony via email, waiting for same for December one.
Has anyone received invite for ceremony already?
Thanks

I sent them an email asking whether the invitation and whether I am being consider to be included in the December ceremony as I would like to plan as it is the holiday season. I got a response to say that I am being consider to be included in a future ceremony and will hear from the department in due course. I have no idea what that means and its getting very late to ask people to halt their lives for the holiday season on th eoff chance you will be considered or not..... Surely they know who they are inviting by now or not ?

I feel your pain. its the generic responses that get you as well. there is just no clarity with these people

Yes, ISD have to process your payment and send a second email to you. It may take a while (from a few days to more than a month).
