Did you check the status of your application?

I have checked the status though email for mine and it says yet to be assessed.
Its quite disappointing as its been 25 days and the processing has yet not started.

Thanks,

Where did you applied from again sorry? Was it from Delhi?
If yes, they do quote 31-40 working days for settlement visa processing. keep us posted as assume you should hear something in next 2 weeks

Been a silent observer of this board for a while. It's been very helpful and I think sharing my experience/timeline below should add to this board's usefulness.

Bit of background - our initial application in May 2015 was rejected as we had missed an email (automatically forwarded to spam) requesting additional documents. We re-applied in August 2015 and the below timeline relates to this application.

Date of Application in VFS Center: 21 August 2015
VFS Center: Chennai
Received at High Commission on: 24 August 2015
Under Processing Start Date on: Not known
Visa Category: Spouse - Settlement Wife
Any interview date: None
Sent to blue dart/ VFS center:
Visa Approval Status: GRANTED
Visa Approval date: 12th October 2015
Total working days: 36 (from date of application, 35 from date when application was received /acknowledged by UKVI)
Received decision made email from UKVI on Monday, 12th October 2015.
Received email from VFS stating processed application received on 12th October 2015.
Passport delivered 13th October 2015

For all those that have applied and are awaiting decisions, I wish you all the best - just remain patient and follow the requirements strictly and you should be okay. Also, please continue to share your experiences and timelines for the benefit of other users and readers of this forum as it really does provide hope.

All the best.

Cant wait to see my other half in Christmas holidays probably will go to india. I applied for my mums visa so she could come and stay with me I feel so depressed she has been to uk before so hopefully she will get the visa. Any suggestions most welcome whats the next step. If your solicitor specialises in immigration, he should have known that calling cards are not accepted by UKVI and this has been the case for soooooo many years at least.

My wife and I only used whatsapp and viber for communicating with one another. No Skype/videos calls, no Facebook, no direct calling except for maybe once or twice and both calls lasted less than 10 mins.

Whatsapp let's you email the entire chat log in text format to yourself. That's what I did and then printed it off. At the top by hand I wrote, 'WHATSAPP CHAT LOG'. That's it, nothing professional, just simple text. With viber I took screenshots of the call logs and pasted 4 screenshots per page in MS Word and printed them.

Plus no interview and no solicitor used.
TIMELINE

Spouse Visa (Entry Clearance) granted on 20-02-15
FLR-M (Extension) granted on 24-08-17
ILR (SET-M) not due until 2020

Hi,
Just an update on my wife's visa application outcome. Thankfully she was granted the visa. The timeline is as follows:
Submitted visa application at New Delhi: 17th Aug
Biometric: 17th Aug
Several enquries to that useless e-mail add: Awaiting assessment by ECO
Got an email yesterday to say a decision has been made
Visa approved (on 7th Oct!!) for 4 weeks

I know ppl worry about what documents to submit, they waste money on solicitors etc. I am happy to be contacted by e-mail if people want more advice (xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx). I will post more on what i submitted.
Best luck to everyone

Hi,

I've few questions regarding ILR dependant visa for my wife. Please let me know.

1. I'm Indian employee UK allowances + Indian salary converted to GBP paid in UK; I've been like this from past 5.5 years and got PR. My employer does not show taxes on pay slip, so it shows only net income (It is much more than minimum requirement any way). Will this be a problem for my wife visa?

2. Also my employer quotes that associate is permanent and arrived UK in ... date in 2010 and is expected here for at least 12 months in employer letter - will this be any issue?
3. My wife is in India but getting her name on tenancy agreement will be any helpful?

Please let me know. Also I want to apply in Mumbai if the processing is faster in Mumbai than hyderabad, please share your thoughts.

Thanks

Thank you very much. but my husband had an immigration history. He lived here for 13years illegally but didn't got deported. That was the only reason we had a solicitor who is so laid back. I will go for an appeal and hopefully will get through in the review. I do feel for the people who go through this stressful process.

Initially the visa is granted for one month only, you need to travel within this period to the UK, register for BRP within 10 days of arrival.

Oh sorry i misunderstood the "4 weeks" quoted for the total timeline to process the application instead of the duration of the visa as i know its initially granted for 1 month.

congrats to you too 21apples for the visa...my patience carries on.

Hi
We been living together since December 14. We had utility bills on our name. We didn't provided with proper whats app chat. As it wasn't told by my solicitor which is a well known solicitor in uk. apart from that I have a good income as I am a teacher. So basically they have rejected on his immigration history I guess. But we are going for an appeal. I know it will take long but because of his immigration history they might refuse it again if I re apply.
