Go back to your thread, it is easier to follow your circumstances there and also, not many people view this thread.

If you ask in your thread, it will stay at or near the top with each post.

Hello everyone,
I'm a first time poster, so apologies in advance if I inadvertently break any forum etiquette. I have a question regarding Section 1.17 - 'Please provide your addresses for the past five years.'

Should I include my university addresses in Wales, where I study, which changed every year, or simply state the address of where my parents live in Essex and where I lived prior to going to university?

Also, last year I went on a European student exchange to Spain, should I include my address in Spain or, again, just state the address of my parents' house during that time?

I appreciate any advice!
Thanks,

Hi, well, I was there for 140 days altogether, however it was broken up into three parts, as I travelled back home once in November and once for the Christmas holidays. So this is how it was broken up:
25.08 - 11.11 = 77 days
13.11 - 21.12 = 37 days
07.01 - 03.02 = 26 days

Does the amount of time spent abroad affect the previous addresses section?
Thanks in advance!

Your absence in the 12 months immediately prior to applying for citizenship exceeds the allowed limit of 90 days. You risk refusal if you exceed the absence limits. You would be better off waiting till your final 12 months absence is no more than 90 days.

Yes, I'm aware of that, which is why I will wait until May to submit my application as that is when I will have 90 days of absence withing the past 12 months. Besides, as it states in Annex B to Chapter 18 of the British Nationality Act 1981 in Section 5 (Excess absences in the final year), subsection 5.1.2: "Total absences of more than 100 days but not more than 180 days where the residence requirements over the full 5(3) year qualifying period are met - consider disregarding if applicants have demonstrated links through the presence here of family, an established home and a substantial part of their estate." This gives me some leeway too, as my family has established a home in the UK.

So my question remains: do I include my term-time addresses and do I include the addresses abroad?

It's all about your residence - so give your addresses where you lived in UK.
For periods abroad you could state, eg: "student exchange - abroad".

Hi everyone,
Require suggestion regarding few questions;

1.2 knowledge of language /life in the UK

What option do I choose :
My guess is : I met the knowledge of language and life requirment to qualify for settlement on or after 28th October 2013

section 6.7 BRP enclosed if choosing as in my case then please state the location of biometric permit
My answer : with applicant

Is it ok? Or I need to mention in a different way.

ALSO 6.12 please give details why you are unable to provide it?
My answer : May required for travelling

Please advise. Thanks

First rule of naturalisation: do not guess :!:
By doing so you are on a fast-track for refusal and loss of fee - with no appeal.

English - try to recall how you fulfill proof of English requirements.
Answer question accordingly, whether by degree, with SELT or ??

You need to submit proff of settled status (ILR) or your application will fail.
If you wish to retain your BRP then apply via NCS.
Then answer BRP enclosed: Yes.
&
6.12 blank or N/A

Thanks very much for your reply . I am appliying through NCS and will provide all the documents to them.
I have fulfilled my English requirements by producing my master degree from UK based University so therefore I said my answer will be;
I met the knowledge of language and life requirment to qualify for settlement on or after 28th October 2013. I hope it's is much clearer now.

I will be taking my BRP to them to check and send copy so should I tick BRP enclosed?
However, I will not be sending my BRP card with the application as they asked in Q 6.11 and will send wishing 5 days of attending my ceremony so I seemed the advise for leading question;

Q6.12 : please give details why you are unable to provide it?
So what my answer be here?
Thanks

If you are applying through NCS, you do not need to send your BRP as they will send a photocopy. Do not tick the box to say the BRP is enclosed.

As you are aware, if your application is successful, you must return your BRP to the Home Office within 5 days of the ceremony or face a £1000 fine.

Even applying via NCS you do tick (check) box that BRP is enclosed.
NCS enclose a certified copy - that is as good as enclosing BRP.

Basically turn up at NCS with all your evidence & docs; NCS will clarify & sort it out.
That is why they are useful & worth the nominal fee.

Thanks. I will refill this page again then and tick the box that BRP is enclosed.

Its not a visa.
Completely different rules & regulations apply.

Are they suitable please?

Hi all

The time has finally come! Time to apply for my British citizenship.

I have filled the AN form but am not sure on point 1.3 - When indefinite leave to enter/remain in the UK was given.
Is this the issue date of the Permanent Residence? Or the issue date of the 5 year 'visa' prior to the PR?

I'm a non-European family member of a EEA national.

The payment slip is on the last page of the fees leaflet: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... _07_21.pdf

The AN fee is increasing to £1236 on 18th March so get your application in soon :!:
