Alhamdulillah, we hope it is in your favour - meaning with a visa, although whatever the outcome it will be in your favour in shaa Allah as believers it is win win. Hope you sleep well tonight bro!

kaidee - May Allah SWT bless you and other brothers ans sis with a good news soon inshallah and make it easy for u. Remember these defficult times are only blessing from Allah it draws us closer to Him hence more repentance, more dua, more humility ... and the gain from that is not compareable to any other gain.

Zmk2 - I kept checking the status online all morning, but it was around the afternoon 3pm that it changed. They received the text around the same time too.

Shakya - Jazakallahu khyran for the info, May Allah bring you khyr and Barakah inshallah: UKVACPK states:
Please note: You will be contacted by Gerry's to arrange a time to collect the decision on your visa application, documents and passport.
Does my wife have to wait to be contacted by Garry's to collect? or she can just go to Garry's like drop-in/pickup coz she got a text saying the application is ready for collection...

Passport collection Time

Salaam

Yes the time for collection is 3-4pm (same text I got) - make sure that your partner get seen to, cos what they will do is call some numbers out and then tell the rest to come back tomorrow. Advised your partner to say that she has been down before and not been see to cos the guys there are lazy and will only hand out a few passports a day.

Also all the best to you.... :D :D

Salams,

All the best to all the brothers and sisters collecting their apps.

Just Remmember whatever the result:

.. it is possible that you dislike a thing which is good for you, and that you love a thing which is bad for you. But God knoweth, and ye know not. (Baqarah v216)

-----

On another note I got a reply back from UK BA regarding confirmation of my email from HR and this is what I got.
Think the reason for the delay in my app might be due to this ECO being out of the office. Lets hope the ECO returns back in a good mood :?

Dear Sir/Madam

Thank you for your email. The officer who is dealing with the employment check, is currently not in the office. Your enquiry has been forwarded on to him, you will be contacted next week. We thank you for your patience in this matter.

Kind regards
Tues 04/05/2010 - App submitted Lahore
Wed 05/05/2010 - App forwarded to Islamabad OC.
Mon 17/05/10 - Visa Application is under process at British High Commission
Tue 29/06/19 - HR contacted

Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji'oon.
My wife's visa has been refused. I was previously married in Pakistan and they beleive my previous marriage is not resolved.
I need a contact of a good solicitor in North west London (in Barnet or Watford), please let me know if any one knows a good caring solicitor to do a good job. I will put the full details once I receive a scan of the refusal.

One question: should I ask my wife to post me all the paper work to start the case from here????

Alhamdulellah - InshAllah it is khyr!!

May Allah Make it easy for you InshAllah.

I have heard of horror stories with some people opting for low cost pakistani lawyers. I would recommend one OISC solicitors – www.oisc.gov.uk

Unless someone has good recommendation in North west London (in Barnet or Watford)?

The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, "Strange is the affair of the Mu'min (the believer), verily all his affairs are good for him. If something pleasing befalls him he thanks (Allah) and it becomes better for him. And if something harmful befalls him he is patient (Saabir) and it becomes better for him. And this is only for the Mu'mmin." [Muslim]

Yes that should be fine as long as you had the divorce papers translated into English as my partner did and had them stamped by local council

Hope that helps you
