Hello Guys,

I would love to ask if it true Irish association application forum took longer than usual ? there are others peoples who applied under this circumstance apart from KingdomMan that we hope soon will receive a good news ?

Please guys let us know if anybody has been approved under the Irish association and how long took the process ? I do not think many peoples applied under this base anyway ? why should take longer ?

@Beachboy, YES! My application is based on my Irish born citizen children having satisfied other legal residency conditions. Just same way/process I applied for my older non-Irish born children and which took approximately 7 months to get their approval for naturalisation certificates about 20 months ago. With time, it'd all come together. :D

@Rio29, I didn't say I got my approval yet.. Still waiting for the final minister's decision/approval as according to their last correspondence with me/my solicitor. Happily, all my children are citizens and they can't wait for their loving and dedicated dad to be naturalised as an Irish citizen as well. As to your enquiry, I got the second stage letter in March 2014 and they requested further documentation and clarification as per parenting of my children sometimes in August 2014 of which my solicitor clarified and furnished the requested documents. So the waiting continues and hoping it won't be as long as the already waited time. On what basis is your own application please Rio29??

Yes, why not. If you merit it, you will get it like many others have. I applied and got for my own children based on association so wouldn't need a soothsayer to confirm to me :D

If you want more on Irish Association, I'd advise you go read from contributors on the dedicated thread for it.

Hi all,

Today I received my invitation for a citizenship ceremony in University College Cork on Mon 24th Nov.
I live in Dublin, but I will take few days off - and definitely go to the ceremony & after that I will be celebrating :D
I was not expecting invitation for ceremony- but this is very nice surprise. Just before Christmas.

Best of luck for all of you who are waiting.

I applied on 28 March 2014. Hot approved in 17 july 2014. Unfortunately I was on holiday. I returned on 25 of august and paid the fee and send all doc. Unfortunately I was not inbited for the 22 September 2014 ceremony. I got lucky and was invited for the cork ceremony on the 24 November 2014 at 10:45am. App base on live to remain on humanitarians groundds

@emmanueljames, your application will continue to be processed in the next one to three months and you hopefully get the long awaited approval from the minister. I mean you're likely to get an approval within one month's time to the next three months. Good luck mate!

Irish spouse should not take this long unless your case is not straight forward..

i presume any day this week you will receive your confirmation.. maybe you send them and email or call them and check and then update us here?
