InshAllah when you receive the decision you will look back and think "why did i get worried?"SF786 wrote:The secretary also asked if I knew the applicants passport number as it might help speed up any response from the UKBA..I told her the name, DOB and reference no. should be sufficient..I didn't know the passport no.
I'm so so soooooooooooo worried now...
Don't worry! Worrying won't change the decision, but Dua will.SF786 wrote:Ok I'm worried now! Does that mean our visa has been refused? The secretary said that she will still contact them and let me know if they tell her the decision...
Maybe the guy in Gerry's had a slip of the tongue?zar2009 wrote:Salaam All,
Please can someone help me with the following.
When my husband submitted his application at Islamabad, Gerrys told him that the original documents stay in Islamabad UK embassy and that the photocopies and passport are sent to Abu Dhabi?!?!
I THOUGHT...that the originals and passport stay in Islamabad and that copies of the application and supporting documents are sent to UK for the decision to be made.
I also thought that Abu Dhabi didnt have anything to do with settlement applications?!?!
Please can someone shed some light on this?
A really CONFUSED Zar2009!!!!
They asked for my wife's passport number. They said reference number is not required. name , dob and passport no. Well she said the visa is issued on 06/07/10 and awaiting stamp. well thats what she said i am not getting my hopes up untill i see the passport stamp.SF786 wrote:The secretary also asked if I knew the applicants passport number as it might help speed up any response from the UKBA..I told her the name, DOB and reference no. should be sufficient..I didn't know the passport no.

Best way to find out it by checking your receipt:
Check:
1. Category : {Should read Settlement....}
2. Fee : Does it correspond to the latest fee on the ukvac website?
3. If your still not satisfied send the vac an email: isbvacmgr@gerrys.com.pk

Thank you for your email to MP. Mr will contact Visa Services at the UK Border Agency and request that your wife’s application is processed as soon as possible. He will send you a copy of his correspondence in the post.
No further response as of yet, I did however reply to the secretary asking for the decision if possible.
- Anyone been able to verify the reason for the delays at the BHC?Sammie wrote:Hi all...
Sorry if this has been discussed already (not read the latest posts) but is there something going at the BHC in Islamabad?.. I heard some rumour that they are being investigated for not processing applications correctly.. Us this true? What's the latest with this?..
Also, does anyone gave a contact number for the BHC to check progress on an application? It used to be
00 92 512098999 but it's no longer in use/disconnected... Thanks
