Staying positive I think there would be many approvals after Cork ceremony and before Xmas.

guys anyway that we can do live chat in this forum with senior member who has passed to a similar situation ?

Also if somebody his application passed to the second chance does mean 100% will be approved or mean there are garda vetting in the way and after the decision ?

@Rio29, relating to your last query, when an application gets to the second stage, then it goes through the Garda vetting and all other departmental checks to especially ensure you've been of good character. Depending on individual case, for some, it takes a moderate time while for others, it takes longer time. It all depends on your individual circumstances so if your case is a straight forward case then it would not take much time before it returns from Garda vetting to the minister's table for the final approval. This is just my own personal views as I don't work in INIS. In it all, I would say just be patient and be hopeful and things would happen at the appointed time. Good luck!

Greetings to all who got approved and in advance who r awaiting like me
I am glad if someones response would be beneficial to my queries
I submitted my application on the basics of my association with my Irish spouse and I suppose my Irish kid too on may this year
and my stay was more than a 5 yrs too and legally my case is straight forward as well
I cleared second stage too.
But when i mail the division for the status update I regularly get a swift response from them saying CONTINUES OR CONTINUED TO BE PROCESSED
I just don't know what to do and I am totally confused too.
So I am just wondering what do they mean?
Any response would be greatly appreciated.
I also know I have too wait calmly finger crossed for the big event to happen but how long with my straight forward case legally after 6 months
Hopefully hear from your advisable words
Thanks a mill in advance
Best regards

@status_change, in a situation you have little or no control over you leave it as it is. You're not alone so you need not to worry or let anxiety get the better of you. It may interest you also, I spoke to a lady at the INIS today and she sincerely told me they have loads of applications pending with the esteemed minister awaiting her consent for final approvals and as it is now, it is beyond the total control of officials at INIS, therefore, we should all continue to patiently wait and hopefully the minister will return the files approved soon. Patience is a virtue! It won't kill no one mates! :D

the habit is to stop sending approvals 2 weeks before the ceremony and 2 weeks after the ceremony. in simple number that means the last approval will be sent next monday (Nov 10th), and the first approval afterwards is Dec 7th.

I think we are chasing our tales trying to figure out whats next, and when it is! its annoying but gives the impression that we wont even see any piece of paper before first quarter of 2015 (hopefully end of Jan 2015)

All I am looking from them is that Is my application at final stage for honourable minster's approval if not at what stage it is?
But, On the contrary I get a swift response from them saying that it is continued and continues to be processed then send to Ministers approval since then this october month 25th
Hope you would under stand me very well what i am trying to convey and project my humble views to you.
Thanks a million in advance to you and all those who are awaiting for the big day to happen in their life as a moment of truth

Even if we get approvals tomorrow, it would be too late to be invited for Nov ceremony. It looks like Nov ceremony is for those who was late for Sep ceremony or got approval mid-October around 14th.
The rest of us will have to wait for next ceremony anyway. The best guess would be 2nd half of Jan or early Feb.

@Dar81 - INIS employee over phone 2 months ago, and was originally said to me by my solicitor (he's well known specialised in immigration and said you are one of those little number I have stamped for) (i took it as a joke)

Update - just saw a post for janet earlier:
janet0001 wrote:I conversate with the immigration official at the kiosk where Certificate of Naturalisation was being handed to fellow citizens. She said since the backlogs has now been totally cleared,They aren't receiving application at the same pace as of last year, and I asked if that would mean fewer ceremonies, she said on the contrary, the minister would still continue at the same pace of 80-90 days that's just over 2 months.Instead of 3 ceremonies a day,it might reduce to 2 or 1. So,be expecting next ceremony in early December.
