Hi evry1 i heard 2day that the islamabad office has closed down and itz moving to dubai or sumtin.My hubby went mirpur the other day and they told him the people that work at gerrys.Plz pray it hsnt moved

Hi Sohail Yeah Sure Why Would I mind Telling The Reason We Were Refused Was I Did Not Show Any Pictures Of Me And My Husband Toghther So We provided 3 Pictures This Time Annd Also Bank Statements Were Missing Which Now i Have Shown ...so Lets See Please Do Pray 4 Me !!!
Omg I hope This News That You Have Told Us Saiqabb Its Not True That Way It Will Take More Time Which I Cant Bear Waiting Arghhh..That Explains Why They Are Taking Time Now Replying Back To Us ..Do You Know Whne IT Will Be Open??

i have enclosed all the paperwork, my wife will go down on monday to gerry mirpur to collect her passport, pls pray for me

the reason they are taking long now is that this is thier peak time of the year, my wifes application will take 9 1/2 weeks if they giv ethe passport on Monday with visa on it Inshallah

Hi evry1 datz nt gud news if they are moving the islamabad office this means it will take long for them to get back to us and give the visas.But datz stupid movin 2dubai i mean hw the hell r people gonna have interviews n the rest.Y now? Evrytnz goin wrng i jst hope we hear 4rm them soon.

yes it is moving to Dubai, because most pakis are fraudsters who are easily bribed with a couple of grand. Im glad it is moving because at least genuine people will get a chance to get a visa rather than all those ones who pay cash for visas....and yes it does happen - my dad's friend was in one of the teams who went inside the BHC to see any wrong-doings, and they caught ppl who were taking bribes for visas.
So Im happy its moving to Dubai. And so should all of you.

Hiya,

Congratulations to everyone that has received good news about their applications.

I have following the forum for several weeks now, My wife applied for her visa on the 17th July 2008 at the Mirpur office. Just like everyone else, she has called them on several occasions just to be told "call back".

I guess we just have to be patient! (easier said than done - but hey!)

Anyway... the reason for my post is to do with the news that the visa office will be moving to dubai. From what I have heard, this should not really affect the turnaround of our applications adversely. In fact it should hopefully help us get a quicker response as they will want to clear all the current applications before moving to Dubai.

The only people that should really be worried are those applying whilst the transition from islamabad office to Dubai takes place.

Also, pple dont get upset over the news of the Visa Processing moving to UAE. To my knowledge, this comes into effect from next year (i may be wrong) but it could be a postive move. After given all the security probs in Islamabad and the offices having to close more often then not, hopefully, it will mean more efficient processing of applications.

I think the bottom line is that the checks now are much more strigent ... and if you apply at 'peak' times its gonna mean a delay.

Its not what we want but there we go!!

Inshallah keep the faith, patience and support your partners. Hopefully you will all get positive results.

Just received a text from the Mrs , same reply as usual the application is still under process. Hopefully god willing this week we will have a different response.

i have an update

my uncle went down to gerry mirpur 2day about 2.30, and they said that passport was not here yet, so i rang gerry at about 3 pm, they took the passport number and told me that it has just come 5 mons ago and u can collect 2morrow, so my mrs will go 2morrow

every one pls pray for me and everyone else waiting

Just asked the wife for the passport number, I'll try and email them hopefully they will have a reply. Is the Gerry's FedEx number ISL/030708/...

Yep ... thats the number.

To be honest, I listed all the references...
Name, DoB, Date of application submission, Gerry Ref (starts with GRY_ ....), Application Ref (starts with ISL/123456/....) & passport number.

Inshallah you'll get a postive response

Hi Sohail have u got gerrys number? I rang them i think 2weeks ago and they said they can't check by the passport number.They checked the status online just the way we do.
