. My friend applied in May 11 and his number was 5000 something. So there would be above 10000 application only in 2011. And half of the 2010 still waiting so how come people waiting over 6 month is 8500. It doesnt add up. IF the figures are correct it means lots of people got result applied in 2011. IT is totally rediculous.

I applied in aug-2011 and i am in some 10*** so do u think that in 2 months there are 5000 applications ? i dont think the numbering system is consecutive ..

I hope that some participants would keep those kids a little bit more quite or at least arrange a babysitter for just few hours. It's a solemn event and sometimes kids shouting became too much. Minister mentioned it as well.

The other suggestion is that it would have been much better if more people could have say the Irish National Anthem. I know it's in Gaelic, but worth memorising it as an Irish Citizen.

Did anybody who managed to call INIS today get a definite date for the next ceremony or even a definite reply that the next ceremony will be in June?

Shouldn't your date(month) of application be the date(month) on your acknowledgement and not the date(month) you sent in your application?

September in your case not August.

THERE ARE 4 TYPES OF APPLICATION FORMS, FORM 8,9,10,11. FORM 9,10 AND 11 IS FOR MINORS. THEIR REF NO. IS DIFFERENT THAN FORM 8. THEY WILL GET CITIZENSHIP WITH IN 6 MONTHS. The complicated one's must have brake immigration rules and the refusal is somewhat cumbersome because of the malafidis that lies with Res-judicata which the naturalization department could never use the same reasons that was used by immigration department that did not find it ways, i presume, or maybe they have been looking for jobs or contract for the past 10 years and they couldn't find or get one, or any other complicated reasons ?

But me honest the parents of Irish born ''standard'' application couldn't make up to 30,000 of the applicant i presume guess ?

GOD and INIS know exactly what is the the figure granted and outstanding figures waiting to be processed!!
Based on the above table:
TOTAL no. Processed since 2007 is 26,500.
Total no. Outstanding (Backlog) since 2007 is 69,000.

But NOT the 8500 PENDING as the numbers do not addup!!

I personally will dispute the applicant total number of 69,000 outstanding unless they want to slow down again or the type of people left waiting they don't like them, that's why they're trying to inflate the figure, but it's inevitable be honest as demonstrated in the case of pink pok and osheku in the constitutional argument on certificate of naturalization's.

And i wonder those who emigrate out of Ireland, how their credit history will be alright before emigration as criteria for immigration fairy tail.

This year to date I have made determinations on over 3,000 applications. I expect that the current backlog of standard cases will be cleared over the coming months with the 6 month average processing time for standard applications being reached by June 2012

Guys come out the controversy of figures and if you don't believe in figures given by minister in recent ceremony then how come you are considering figures given by him in kildarestreet .your mathematical skills won't make any difference on people working in citizenship office .they are rushing through now because they were relaxing in past years.i know people still waiting from 08,09,10and 11 hopefully they will all come through in next 4 to six 6 months.

Is it just me who is seeing the minister said Nearly 15,000 valid applications have been decided so far this year (compared to 7,785 for the full year in 2010) where as 6,500 and 11,000 (to end Oct) certificates of naturalisation issued respectively. Can you see the difference even though in 2010 there are 6,500 certificates issued but 7,785 processed, I have no idea what happened to the difference rejected may be. In 2011 until oct 11,000 issued but 15,000 applications processed. They count all the applications recived and some of them are invalid which they return or reject hope the numbers will add up if this number is taken in to account.
