there is a huge huge huge  backlog and they r trying their best to clear it ,it is not true that decisions will be made in six months from this year as their own staff in department r telling the telephone calleres that it will be middle of next year 2013 when they hopefully will be able to achieve six months time.dont believe what the politicians say but i appreciate the minister for his work atleast things r moving not like the previous arrogant government that because of them we r all in this kind of messsss today.

Dublin Citizenship Ceremony in June 2012

The next citizenship ceremonies will take place in The Convention Centre Dublin Spencer Dock, North Wall Quay, Dublin 1 on Thursday 14 June 2012.
Some 4000 candidates will attend the ceremonies where they will take an oath of fidelity to the nation, receive their certificate of naturalisation and thereby become Irish citizens.

Hope that answers your questions. :D

All,

I applied for Citizenship and LTR in aug-2011. I got my LTR in may-12 and i have sent that to the citizenship division.

I am not going to get the June-12 approval. Any idea as to whether i can make it to Aug-12 or Oct-12 ?

I have applied on 5 year residency and am planning to take a break and go to my country for 6 months due to family reasons.

Thanks
*$

Waiting...

Post by depim » Tue May 22, 2012 12:56 am

Living in Ireland for 12 years. I applied in 2008 as spouse of an Irish Citizen in Cork, and still waiting... Every time I call they say they are waiting for outside agency report and no further info. Has anyone faced this before? Or heard something like this? :?

5 years reckonable residency is the requirement to apply for Irish Naturalization, having a 5 years one-off called long term does not give you a lea way or could catapult you in getting a speeding naturalization by virtue of common good. Hope that answers your question. :D

as said by people on this forum three ceremony's left this year June,Aug and Oct so its means that at the end of this year all the back lock will be over.4000 applicants chosen means that this figure could be from almost one year back log so every ceremony covers around one year backlog.we are nearly there after June they will start working with 2011 applications hope fully 2010 will be over in June.

One thing that I dont understand is that there will be 4000 people in the June ceremony, it means that we probably should be seeing people posting approvals here in this forum every day but it is very quite these days.. do you think people are just not updating the forum or I am missing something? :)

You will not be seeing any more approvals for June ceremony.People have been announcing their approvals for June ceremony since the last ceremony, almost beginning of April up untill few weeks ago.Of course, not everyone will post it here, but good few did.And the last approval letters for any ceremony,in this case,June, are sent out around a month before ceremony,so you can send them back fee and gnib card,so they have time to print, make your certificate of naturalisation. For June ceremony, last date to send them those documents back was 11th of May.So that is how it goes.Good luck to all those still waiting. :)

Initial Processin Stage

Post by chrome » Thu May 24, 2012 6:04 pm

hi, I applied Citizenship in May 2011. But when I enquire for status it still says 'Initial Processing Team'. Has anyone who applied around May 2011 got his application to 'Further Processing Team' ?

Thanks
