Hello everyone,
I just had a call (unknown number) from the homeoffice. The lady on the phone said that my interview time has been moved from 9 am on Monday as it originally was to 12,, has this happened to anyone else and do I need to confirm it with the home office myself to make sure that they have changed the timings and what's the best number to ring and confirm it with them, anyone had any such experience or any knowledge please??

You actually going through trouble to obtain their number in other to confirm what they have already told you? You thought it was a spoof call or what? Nobody will be able to confirm that for you as the CSs are not likely to have access to that info. If in doubt go early.

I understand that nobody would be able to confirm it for me but I actually thought that if maybe someone already had such experience recently. It did sound legit when they told me on the fone but I still don't want to take no chances, I will try and ring them on the normal number and see if I can confirm it with them if not then I will just do as you said that to get there early, thanks a lot for your reply, appreciate it,

Payment received on 5 Feb 2014
Two COA letters received on 13 Feb 2014. One was issued on 7 Feb 2014 noting no working permitted and, the other was issued on 10 Feb 2014 noting working permitted, both were issued by same person.
RC is still waiting
I have been trying to contact UKBA on the New phone every day. I always be told “Because of high call volumes the UK Visas and Immigration contact centre is currently not accepting calls.”
Any friends have got same situation with me, could you please share your experience. I would like to know how long will it take for processing EEA2 application by Surender Singh route.
Thank you

Jus rang home office and I been told that a decision has been made on Friday but still has not been despatched yet! I asked them many times if they can tell me what my decision is but she said no she can't its completely against the law and she said u have to wait till you received your documents. And she gave me the tracking number aswell which apparently different to the prepaid envelope which I have provided it was first class next day delivery.
Now fingers crossed!

Hi,
My wife (Australian Citizen) and me (Spanish Citizen) came to London, UK a month ago. Our plan is to stay here for years so before we came here she got her EEA Family Permit which allows her to work and stay for 6 months. She is already having job interviews and we are waiting to receive her National Insurance Number, everything is working out so far.
Now we have to apply for her UK resident card which will give her 5 years with the same benefits than the EEA Family Permit. My question is this one, how do you apply for the UK resident card? I read on the UK immigration website that you just send the documents with the 55 pounds fee and post them. Is that the only way? Do you know if you can go to any office in person and do it? We are scared to send our original passports and marriage certificates on the mail. Does anyone have done that process in the past or has more info?
Also I read on the website that you don’t need a residence card to live in the UK, but it can help you to reenter the country and to find a job. Is that true? I through that she needed to get her UK resident card before her EEA Family Permit expires. What do you do if you don't apply for the UK resident card? What other options do you have? Just stay in the country with no visa or permit?
I would appreciate any answer, hope that my message wasn't too long. This issue is very important for us so I wanted to make sure I post all my questions so I don't need to have 3 or 4 different posts.
Regards,

Hi all,
i was wondering if you could provide some guidance. Applied for eea2 on 19 of June married couple / Permanent employment
I received a Certificate of application and it says that they are unable to confirm my husbands right to work because we have not provided all of the following :
1) current valid identity documents for your self /sponsor
2) evidence of relationship
3) sufficient evidence of you sponsor exercising treaty rights .
We have provided both our passports our marriage certificate and 6 months of my payslips a letter from my employer and my contract when i started working in 2011. I am working full time 35 hours per week in a company as a permanent employee.
My husband is currently working full time as he has a valid post doctorate visa until december this year. his contract ends in december. Does this mean that he can no longer work ?
I thought that due to the fact that we are married he should have received a certificate of application with the right to work .
Should we call the home office for this ?
Thank you

hello everyone, any help appreciated. here's what my time line looks like
applied for RC 1st June 2013
received COA with right to work
RC refused August 2013
Applied for Oral Appeal
Appeal heard 28th May 2014
Appeal Dismissed 30th June 2014
reason for refusal, my sponsor (husband) has not shown that he's exercising his treaty rights- despite providing letters from job seekers and previous employment.
i dont know what my options are. can i reapply? really confused.
