if they do contact your employer is it done at a certain time

for e.g week 10 or 11

How many weeks has it been since submtting ur app? By the time UK border force get back to ur boss he probs be back by pakistan?

almost 4 weeks now since submitting my case, by the time my boss comes back it will be like 11 weeks since submitting

Alhamadulillah, wife has been here a few days now. Visa was issued back in the first week of July, passport collected mid August, all good though.

I'm self employed so no employer contact. I submitted my last years' accounts, projected accounts for the current year, contract confirmation letter and business invoices. I didn't get any contact whatsoever.

Has ur wife come england? they have made a decision on ma husbands app and we are waiting for gerry office to contact him to come and collect his passport - just waiting now to see if visa been issued now or not.

They wouldn't tell me the decision, but my wife emailed yesterday and they replied today saying as your details match, that on the application, i can tell you that the visa has been issued.

Trust me i am so so so so so so so so happy.

Never give up on dua, only Allah has the will to answer your dua.

Asmajafar, ask your husband to do the same.

Just make sure you put all the relevant details:

GXY number
ISL number
DOB
Date of application
Passport number
sponsors name

Just ensure that your husband emails of the same email address registered on the application.

Maybe worth giving a shot. Let your husband write it from his personal email address - if he has one.

I havn't heard of anyone phoning. I dont think they would go for that. They don't know who is really on the other line as they have never spoken to you.

With the email address, it limits the ammount of chance of someone faking and the chances that someone knows, the date, dob, gxy number, passport number, isl number and sponsors name is very unlikley.

As to your question, they normally contact the email address and telephone number that you placed in your employment letter.

E.g, my HR wrote a letter but on my application i wrote the main number. They looked at my letter and contacted the contact on there. She wasn't there, but they asked a colleague, to whom should they email an employment form too.

The lady worked quickly, they contacted in the morning at 9 and she completed it and sent it before 12pm. (Maybe because i went to see her almost everyday lol)

One important note: - if your HR does get contacted and your employer is requested to fill and employment form, request an email back. My HR lady did and they emailed back, we can confirm we have recieved your form.

Tell your contact not to delete the email until your husband/wife is here with you.

Don't worry, for most people it is taking over 12 weeks.

I regularly emailed until they got fed up and said dont email us for this week. Then i would email them every week.

I do dua for everyone. Make sure you do dua for others as well:

I applied on 20th july in lahore.
Its coming upto 7 weeks.
Its still under process.employer has not been contacted yet. Have i got a long wait yet? Im really concerned about the tb cert expiring, and also my job coming to an end in december. Im thinking the worst.

If i was to find a new job, how do i inform them?

Would appreciate any help

hi, im new to this forum, been reading it for afew weeks now and its been really helpful to know that there are alot of people in the same boat. Didnt realise how stressful this process was going to be.Im sponsoring my fiance, applied 080610 bhc 210610, no news as yet but i think anyone who has applied then havent had a reply yet. I am worried about them contacting my employer as wel cuz he is going on holiday to pak for 7 weeks, if they call will they only speak to the boss or can they speak to me or my coolleague aswel?

has anyones employer been contacted via e-mail?

salaam zeddy zed they will ask for you if they phone your place. and ask you questions. if email it will be I guess hours worked, name etc just general info to make sure you work there.
