HI guys
I read in a news item that UK govt is proposing to increase the HSMP fee from 400 GBP to 600.
Does anyone know from which date this is going to be applicable?

That's quite worrying. Did they inform you that you should make arrangements for courier collection of your documents before sending them out? When was this in relation to the time you sent your fax?

Don't worry, odds are that it'll reach you safely!

They did not informed me about the decision. When I asked about my application status, I got reply that decision taken & documents dispatched on same day (29th Jan 08).

I sent fax a day before (not knowing the status), perhaps they looked at fax later.

Now I have to wait for airmail.

Anybody knows if airmail doc is delivered by registered post or they just "drop" at the place? Basically i want to know if the postman delivers at home (after getting signature) or drop the packet at common letter box?

(Sorry for asking silly question, but just bit anxious about my documents)

will be very good to keep updated and provides good statistics on HSMP process...
like..

It shows that its taking around 25 days avg to get decision
january applications are already being processed
latest approval has come for an applicant of 12th jan ( INDIA)
Ref No. series 245** is going on

post there about your applications and you can have a good picture of process..

My HSMP application was made from UK on 10 Jan, assigned to case worker 18 Jan, I phoned today and they said that a decision has been made today and a "LETTER" will be sent out to you along the documents. She I asked me if I am in country which I replied yes.
However she refused to disclose decision over the phone. I am very anxious about the decision, does anyone know what it sounds like.

Have sent 9th of Feb reached HO on 11th feb.

No other updates.

Seems like it will take about a month.
That is what I observed Jan-08 and Feb-08 timeline is about one month.

Hi,
I hv posted my HSMP application on 12th January,
reached home office on 15th January,
Payment deducted on the same day the 15th,
I contacted the customer care in the 1st week of Feb, where I was been given a reference number,
and was been told that the time limit to make a decision is atleast 5 to a maximum of 14 weeks....
and as of now, am still awaiting reply

Can any one let me know, if they hv recvd any approval letters, if posted during the same time span.... thanks very much
