It would be impossible to limit the posting to only those who have had success or who have a 'current' update. We are only 4 or 5 active moderators and there are many other sub forums requiring our attention, the Ireland one in particular rarely monitored by more than 2 or 3 or us. We are unpaid volunteers and offer our time as and when we can.BrexitEscapee wrote: ↑Tue Nov 13, 2018 8:30 pmOkay, a few points for the moderators:
1. As I explained when I posted earlier, there is a problem with this thread. I have reviewed the entire thread to make it clearer for you: of the 86 posts in this thread, only 26 contain any useful timeline information, e.g. how long it has taken for a 'second letter' to be issued or a citizenship decision to be made. The remaining 60 posts only tell us how long it has taken for applications to arrive and be acknowledged, i.e. how fast the postal service works. Nobody is interested in this.
2. This thread would be much more helpful to users if it only contained posts which actually contain information on how long the Irish authorities are taking to process applications, i.e. how long it has taken for a second letter to be issued or for a decision to be made.
3. I understand there is a rule that this thread must only contain timeline information. However, if the moderators are not prepared to also consider suggestions which will make the thread more useful to users, then they are not actually helping anyone.
4. No doubt this post will be deleted imminently. Feel free to also ban me from this board for breaching the rules. I have already secured citizenship so I have no more need for it. However, before I go, I wanted to point out that the help/info I received in my application was from fellow users and not from the officious/unhelpful/unfriendly moderators.
