Hi All

I am a silent follower.
My husband has received back all his documents on 12 September 2015 but not approval letter yet. Is this normal?

He has also received back his BRP card? I thought they would keep this. has others got theirs back too?

Kind Regards

Tina

Did they send back Life In the UK Test certificate as well? if they returned LIUK test certificate that means application is not approved I am afraid.

If you use NCS then u only send photocopies of ur documents. So u can keep all ur documents to urself except LIUK certificate.

How long is processing time for Naturalisation after 6th April 2015? I note there has been major delays after they started requiring bio-metrics. Could you please advise?

Well no one can give u an advice on time scale. It entirely depends on ur luck. If u r lucky enough then u might get it quickly. Otherwise get ready to wait for a prolonged period of time.

I sent my application on 12.08, received an acknowledgment letter dated 25.08, but till now nothing about biometrics. Is this strange that both acknowledgment and biometric letters where not sent together? How can I find out if they had already sent it?
Would be super grateful for help. Applied from London, does it make any difference?Because I would suspect it does not however I don't know how they sort out the mail:)
Hello!
I've got the same issue, but my acknowledgement letter dates back to 18.06! I am not sure why my biometrics were never requested, could anyone help on this? :/
Hi, I got my biometrics request letter today 16.09 (dated 12.09), so did them straightaway.
Just to give a warning, the woman at post office was really not professional, she was chatting away while doing my fingerprints etc..and then came the signature. You write it on a pad on which you cannot see anything..then it appears on the screen, if you are not happy say immediately so you will have another go, I said it once when it was not clear and the stupidly was too slow to mention the second round....and she submitted it. I am not sure how ig of a deal it is, but my signature is different than normal..anyone wit a similar case?

Hi Guys,

My Wife's case is little strange and I didn't expect this to happen..

Eligibility criteria: 3 year BC spouse + 1yr ILR;
Nationality: Indian
Method of application: NCS (Barking)
Date of application: 28/08/2015
Date of receipt by UKBA: No confirmation received
Date of debit of fees: 11/09/2015
Date of receipt of acknowledgement: awaiting

On the payment form to home office, I have mentioned 906 £ for the fee to be deducted. I didn't know the fact that the fee was increased this year to 1005 £. The guy who verified the application did not notice that I had put the wrong amount and sent the application form to Home office with Wrong amount. However, he gave a receipt saying that application has been received from my wife and amount mentioned as 1005 £. I should have spotted this error on the same day at least and changed the amount on payment application form to HO.

Now Home office guys have deducted 906 £ from my account and I'm not sure if this is a good sign? At the least I'm expecting a letter from HO they need additional 99 £ for the application to be progressed? Or worst case my application will be rejected due to incorrect amount.

I still don't understand why they expect an applicant to fill the amount on the payment application form when the amount is always fixed. Its just strange.

My family would like to travel on a long vacation and I've made plans for their vacation already. I've put the plans on hold, just in case if the application gets rejected and if my wife has to re-apply again? On an average, can anyone suggest how long the applications are being progressed currently? I know its case to case basis, but my wife's application is pretty much straightforward without any blockers.

Once an approval is made, do you know if there is a defined timeline to attend the ceremony and apply for Birtish passport? Can my wife stay on Indian passport say for the next 6-8 months and then surrender the nationality?

Sorry for too many questions, but these questions have been lingering around for quite a while

Thanks for all your help
