Eligibility criteria: marriage to BC + 1 year ILR
Method of application: NCS LUTON
Date of receipt by UKBA: 25/04/2014
Date of debit of fees: 02/05/2014
Date of receipt of acknowledgement: 08/05/2014 (dated 02/05/14)
Date of receipt of approval: 21/07/14 (Letter dated 08/07/14)
Date of receipt of documents: N/A
Date of receipt of registration certificate: Ceremony booked for 06/08/2014

Update: I am not sure I have put this in the right place.

Called HO on Monday 16/06/14 and was told that a decision was made on the 4th of June. However, he stated that no letters have been sent out. I phoned the council and I was told that there were a few others who were told this and not received letters. she stated that for the past 2 weeks, HO administration have been really slow in sending out letters after a decision is made. I hope it will be good news when it arrives.

Final update:
Thanks for this forum which helped me during the application process. Now for the passport - I will be applying once I have done the ceremony. However, I am mindful that it might take more than 6 weeks to process. All the best to those who are waiting. God bless!

I applied for my daughter(UK born 6 months old)'s citizenship certificate in 3rd weeek of may. I need to travel to India urgently as my daughter's great grand mother is not well and in ICU. i sent an email and a letter to UKBA people.. It is already 2 months+ ...I dont know when will they open my daughter's application form which is straight forward application. I dont know what checks they need to do for a 6months kid.
I am totally upset.. but cant do any thing.. I have received scanned copy of doctor's letter explaining situation .. i dont think they are considering any urgency genuine requests too.. I approached indian embassy and they told us it is not possible to issue passport as we already applied for UK citizenship for my daughter.
We can not do anything other than waiting and checking post box with a hope ...

Why cant you just apply to the Indian Consulate for a passport ? Why would they refuse to give you one - they dont know you have applied for MN1 naturalisation as well. You can then travel to India on Indian passport and when you want to come back , just come back couple of weeks earlier without the baby and apply for his British Passport using the Mn1 ( takes a week) and send it back to India. Anyone sees any flaw in this approach ?

The problem is how the KId will enter into UK without Valid Visa.
or They have to apply British passport in India only.

Its not legal to apply British passport when the kid is in outside of UK, if they caught they will cancel the british citizenship.
I checked for my kids do like this but they suggested its not right approach.

I applied in May 3rd week fro my kids but still waiting

Please correct me if i'm wrong.
Thanks
Ravera

Dear friends.
I am going to apply MN1 for my 2 kids. Can some one help me in determining the fees. I can see payment slip and fees of £669 per child but if its 2 kids how much i will have to pay. Is there any discount for second child and do i have to use two payment slip.
My second question is that i have lost my marriage certificate and only have a copy which is in urdu. So any suggestion for this.
I would like to say thanks in advance.
Kind regards.

Hi everyone,

I send my application for my son on 23/04/2014 and received an acknowledgment dated 02/05/2014. I did not use NCS and send all my original BR card and passports. I am waiting to here, I have heard nothing so far. Is there any telephone I can call, I sent an email and had a generic reply with FAQ. And it says that 95% of the applications are decided in 6 months, I see that lot of people who applied at the same time as mine have received their application.

Please let me know whether it is common to wait this long and a telephone number to call UKBA for MN1 application.

Thanks in advance.
