Your application ref number should start like this ISL/ISB. The first 3 digits are a code to where you applied from. The example i gave is for submitting application at Islamabad gerrys.

When did you apply? Maybe it doesnt work for you because you applied after a certain date.
i applied on 23-04-2014, but i was not given any receipt having format ISL/ISB i was given receipt which have barcode number like PAK xxxxxxx AT, no other receipt is given.

Thanks for reply hopefully i can get further assistance
Looks like they have stopped this service for newer applicants.

Silk Route

Category A .

My husbands friend also applied 26th March and got rfc yesterday and visa granted
Again category A - 6 Month payslips.. And his sister (both married in same family ... not that it makes a difference)
Also heard same time!

I genuinely have no idea whats going on

Seems as though anyone applying after March is hearing within 1 month.

Does anybody have a number for Gerry's Mirpur.
Any other number apart from 8865 would be appreciated thanks
Preferably a number to call within Pakistan so my hubby can call them

You are better off telling him to go there himself, I know it's a drag but last time my hubby rang they told him to come in (got our hopes up) just to tell him it's on hold or some rubbish like that :(
Not sure if you can go there without an appointment.

It's mirpur lol ofcourse you can

It expires after 2 yrs. My husband had to take it again after his last test expired.
Ive had a look at your link, it does state there 'no expiry'. Maybe that is the case if taken in the UK.
I know for sure in Pakistan it expires after 2 yrs as my husband took his again recently.

Has anyone sent an email via http://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/Pakistan/ and got a reply back?
I sent them an email few times without the GWF number and they requested me to provide them this information and when i did they dont reply back to confirm they have received my email or they are looking in to this.

This is really frustrating as its been over 4 months i have not heard back to what is going on.

Dear Ammi.k / other senior members of this forum,

I am going to apply for wife settlement visa on Form VAF4A in the month of May, I would highly appreciate if someone could guide me on following issues:
My wife will be applying with 3 children, do we need to fill 4 separate VAF4A & 4 Appendix 2 forms or just one each?
Can I fill the form here in UK and pay the required fee by using UK credit or debit card?
While filling the children forms which sections of the VAF4A forms I need to fill and which sections should be left.
While filling the children form how should I entertain this question (8.1 are you exempt from the English language requirement? If ‘Yes’ please explain how you are exempt from the English)
Also in Appendix 2 there is a question " 1.27 Does your sponsor have any children"? this question is referring to which children? sponsor's previous marriage children or our 3 children?

Awaiting for you kind response

Ammi.K no wonder you got a favourable response :-)
I have a question:
I will be going to Pakistan for nikah and applying for the spouse visa soon after that. Apart from a few chat logs I really don't have anything else to submit to show a genuine relationship. The ECO should take into account the cultural norms that it's not possible sometimes to for the bride to meet the groom before the marriage. Is it fair to assume that my case will be rejected outright. I will be submitting some chat logs, nikah pics and that's it!!the pics would be of nikah .not the main wedding . I wouldn't be able to submit wedding cards etc .

To Cheeta,

yes you can fill the form yourself and pay for it here in the uk using either credit or debit card. "Does your sponsor have any children" this is referring to previous marriages if you answered NO earlier then answer No to this question too, if they were referring to the 3 children that you have together then they would say do you have any children with your spouse/sponsor.
I think but I am not 100% sure, you just fill in one form for your wife in which you include your 3 childrens as dependent. Hopefully someone else here can guide you on this.
I think children under certain age are exempt from language requirements.
May Allah swt make it easy for us all
