mmalinconia wrote:Hi, I have updated my signature with timeline. Now it seems after submitting the biometrics, COA takes 3 weeks to arrive.

With the COA dated 25th June, when should we expect the RC? (Egyptian + Latvian, married for 2 years, both working, no children, applied together for EEA (FM) and EEA (QP)

Could it take 4-5 month approx?
The latest RCs we have seen last week are all averaging 4 months and a half, however things seem to be taking a bit longer lately.

4-4,5 is super timeline.
I think people who applied after 6th april 2015 as me will not receive our RC earlier than 7 months. Because process has been slow down recently.

Bili, I have the same situation as you, my wife ended her studies three weeks ago and is now a job seeker.

I have been told that the status that matters is the one at the moment of the application, and that in these cases what becomes important is the comprehensive sickness insurance.

I hope the people who told me this were right...

I have gave a call, they have said that prepare a cover letter and update your situation.

I think we need to update our current status, Do you have any idea that how she can get a document states that she is a jobseeker?

We have comprehensive sickness insurance, I am paying it every month regularly!!

I hope we ll get this RC without problem and fast which can enables us to go on holidays at the end of september maybe , if it is fast enough

Thanks for sharing that Bili, I´ll check about the letter.

I think what you can do is show your partner is enrolled in job center plus, and maybe also attach a few emails, or letters that show she has been trying out for roles.

I would try the phone number or the PO Box on the COA, which is

PO BOX 306
Liverpool
L2 0QN

Hope that helps!

Shadow reader, first time poster

EEA (FM) Submitted 29/06/2015
Royal Mail Acknowledgement of delivery 30/06/2015

Awaiting further updates.... but will keep posting on any developments

Situation:-

Married to EEA National (Hungarian) for 5+ years (I am Australian)
Married in the UK as we both lived here previously (Stupidly did not apply for a UK PR and now we have to restart the clock!)
9 month old child with dual citizenship
Applied for EEA (QP) for both wife and child
We moved to Australia 5 years ago and have only recently returned
We went down the "Self Sufficient" route as we have only just arrived and we have no jobs yet
As self sufficient, we provided 6 months of bank accounts showing savings and rental income
Also provided a print out of our health insurance plan (not originals as they dont provide them these days)

Fingers crossed, we are hoping to get the COA within working days, as experienced by most people here.

Hoping to get a residency card for myself and a registration certificate for my wife and child

Does the UKBA need to hold on to your passport during the period between issuing a COA and providing the RC?

Also, does the COA have an expiry date (worried about the right to work part as I have a job lined up!)

Not comfortable with the UKBA holding our passports after reading some of the horror stories on this board.

Thanks!

Passports: they need at least 10 working days starting from the issuing of the COA...I would give them a few extra just in case and then complete the form to get them back.

COA: The letter says the document is valid until you either get your residence, or, until you have a resolution on any appeals you may have made in case it is rejected. In any case, you shouldn´t have it for more than six months, I would worry about it then.

HI Guys I am new here so not sure if I am on the right topic.

I am an overstayer and need some advice.

My mum is French but I am an non EEA national but does not work in the UK as she is clinically blind. So she relies on me fully.

My partner is non EEA but has a British child so she has DLR.

What kind of application can I make?

And if we get married will this help my case?

TIA
