Lucy m getting soooo confused here..i thot this is how it worked;

->we lodge the appeal
-> they send us an ackonwldgement letter with in 3-4 wks which states the deadline given to the ECM
-> ifthe deadline has passed and the ECM hasnt overtirned the decision we get a date for the court hearing which is roughly 3months after the deadline given to the ECM

your's seem to has gone straight to court considering your hearing date was about 4months after subttin the appeal papers...

yeah syma, u r right, its supposed to b straight forward..

however, every other month, the processes and rules are changing, dats why i said that they r trying to b bk on track... dnt worry, u'll b notified at the end of the day where is the case heading towards... if u r still in doubt, i wld suggest to email AIT from time to time to keep a track record in case u dnt hear something soon.

i did the same... i always emailed AIT every 2 weeks...

I don't know what sorts of checks are performed but even financial companies' checks won't take so long.

Now information available widely and easily due to information systems introduced by many organisations,these time lines seem unrealistic.

Can't do anything but take 'wait and watch' approach.

Hello Pazpatel,

Hopefully we should hear in next fortnight, as latest UKBA stats released in March indicate that earliest decision for applications in India (Hyd centre) was 45 days.

Previous stats released in Dec 2011 showed earliest decisions were made in fortnight (I think 20% applicants in Hyd).

So based on this, we can keep our fingers crossed and expect some good news in week or two and hope they dont delay the process even longer

Best wishes

Sorry i think its mistake on my part. The stats were released in march and they are for 3months Dec 2011 till Feb 2012.

Hence March is not part of the stats and hopefully we will be part of the new stats

the above list mentioned is quite gud..and seems satisfactory..though we can never rely on the caseworker who'll handle ur application(UKBA staff)..

i wld suggest u to include more pics frm various occasions of u two, more wedding pics..also do add in a cover letter mentioning u wld like to apply for spouse visa, how u guys met referencing gmail chats, facebook chats, phone bills, what r ur future plans together, why u wld intend to live in uk wid ur partner n not india(these guys r finding this as a very common reason to refuse visas these days)...

the reason im asking u to include this cover letter is that wld make the caseworker understand easily and take decision quickly....
(facts and advice based on personal experience)

rest moderators plz help and advice Neeraj ...

gud luck
