My wife got a e-mail sent to her, stating that her application has been sent to the UKVI Decision Making Centre, Mirpur. Can anyone elaborate on this? I thought applications went to Islamabad?

We re-applied on the 30/05/2014. So friday, I find it strange that it's been sent there. Unless that centre then forwards it to BHC Islamabad, even then, why put in the middle-man? Confusing.

Not sure. Can't be a typo error that bad. If it is then I am rather surprised. It says "UKVI decision making centre, Mirpur."

Bit of digress. Could somebody please put their Gerry fedex experience? what they have gone through being in any of the centre in Pakistan? This would help many people to prepare in advance.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

Yes, very recently actually at Gerry's Lahore office.

One tip, make sure to photocopy ALL the documents- this will save a lot of time and you will be in and out of the office.

So, have one set a original copies of documents and other set of photocopies of those original documents (DON'T MISS ANY SINGLE PIECE/ DOCUMENT- I missed the cards/ photos, the girl sent me to photocopies those too ) which resulted in 4hrs at the office since they had their lunch, tea breaks etc .

feedback (anything which is not publicly discussed in great detail, if any) needed with regards to people experiences at Gerry's in Pakistan for people to prepare in advance, specially when they are travelling to lodge an application from remote areas of Pakistan.

Thanks in anticipation.

Mooty, what would you like to know? Are you asking about what the experience is like when you lodge your application at Gerrys?

From what I was told by my wife. Depending on which Gerry's centre you are going to. I will use Mirpur as an example here.

You must now pay online for your visa fees (at Mirpur), there is no priority service, but there is a premium lounge service available (load of rubbish), so just pay spouse visa fee online.

Then you must print out the appointment, and payment details and take them with you to Gerry's along with your documents. They do arrange your documents in their own order. So anything that you have organised, will go to waste.

They'll only let the applicant in, so as you know with many asians, we like to travel in packs of 20. Whether it be to the airport, or supermarket lol. Please be aware again, only the applicant can go inside with the person.

It shouldn't be an awful experience, and pretty much straight forward.

salaam all

Does anybody know the phone number for the visa application center in Islamabad?

Also with the nikah nama, once you translate it into urdu, does anybody know if you need to include the translators name and address and contact details on the translation?

And another question is, if my parents fully own the house which i will be living in, does anybody know if i need to just show copies of the title deeds? or do i need to show anything else. or do i need to send the original title deeds?

Thanks
