Add a dot between your case workers (whoever signed your letter) first name and surname @homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk
Remember this is for time lines only so that we do not deviate from topic
Ok lets not deviate from topic.
No one sent me an email. Figured out the email myself. Organisations use first name and surname for their employees emails. Luckily my caseworker responded after 2 days. It will depend on your case worker. Yes add your case ID.

Please start a new thread if you are going to ask further questions as this forum is for permanent residence timeline only. Cheers.
With all due respect, this is for timeline only. However a little bit of deviation may be accepted if the topic is related. (my humble opinion) It would be boring and unenlightening if it stuck to date app sent, recd. money taken, waiting.
However what is most annoying is people asking how long it takes to get a reply. THERE IS NO APPROXIMATE DATE THAT CAN BE GIVEN BECAUSE IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE PERSON IN THE HOME OFFICE. why is every question "how long does a reply take"?
USE COMMON SENSE WE ARE NOT EXPERTS HERE WE ARE ALL APPLICANTS WHO DONT KNOW ELSE WE WOULD NOT BE HERE.
Like it clearly says decided and you will get a response in 10 working days which is max 2 weeks. It takes 8 days on average. You have waited for 4 months plus+ and you are so eager to know the precise date. Do you people think the postal department is associated with this forum?

i really appreciate the efforts of Yanki, who inspite of him getting his own PR still visits this forum and gives very useful advice. Most stop using the forum after getting their card.
However people like afsar will ask how and why (using the information give as a quote). I would not encourge this kind of person and leave him to his own devices. Afsar wants to know how he found the email id of the case worker. Yanki is not a paid employee who has to provide information, even if he is willing to do so freely. Respect him and just follow what is told or go to a solicitor.

My time line application :

Application send: 03-08-17
received:04-08-17
money take: no yet
If you paid by credit or debit card are u sure there was enough money in the account? Normally money is withdrawn 1 day after receipt which would be 7th or latest 8th.

Try again with case ID
Royal mail tracking numbers are no more source of tracking

Hi guys,

I would just like to ask if its normal to wait for 12 weeks for a biometric letter?

Timeline:
23/05/17 - Application submitted
25/05/17 - Money was taken out of the account
09/07/17 - Confirmation email received
13/07/17 - Received the biometric letter - although personal details are incorrect therefore we're waiting for another one with correct details.

Still waiting for another letter, moving towards 5 weeks, is this normal?
Does anyone have details if I can work in the mean time while waiting?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi guys,

Just wanted to know for those applying for a residence card as the unmarried partner of an EEA national, have any of you thought that you might be considered as an overstayer while you wait for the outcome of your application (obviously if your current visa is expiring soon)?

I received my biometrics letter and the Certification of Application letter together today and it states that I have NO RIGHT TO WORK unfortunately despite being on a Youth Mobility visa (I'm from Canada) which expires on September 7th.

I have found out that under the NEW Section 3C of the Immigration Act 1971 I would be considered as an "overstayer" as I am not protected under this clause (as I'm applying for a residence card under EEA regulation not for any other UK British based visa) while I wait for a decision on my residence card, which will take approximately 6 months from today.

Any thoughts regarding the overstaying part? I've accepted the fact that I will have to terminate my job on the 7th of September. However, I cannot fathom the fact that I'm becoming an 'overstayer' while I wait for an outcome on my residence card application. My youth mobility visa expires in 3 weeks and I don't think I will receive my residence card that fast

Also here is my timeline for my residence card as an unmarried partner of an EEA National:

Documents Sent on: 03/07/2017
Money Taken: 06/07/2017
Confirmation email received: 12/08/2017
Biometrics Letter and COA received together (with no right to work): 12/08/2017 (dated 09/08/2017)
Biometrics Done: 12/08/2017
Decision: ?????

Cheers,

Lily

The last I am aware of is once you apply, you are considered legal until your application is decided. This applies to all the cases I am aware of. Im not certain about the section you quote. But the law is 1971 dated so I assume Sec. 3C is not an amendment you are talking about.
I am again assuming that if there was a chance of being considered an overstayer, they would inform you in the letter of application that since your visa expires in a few weeks, you would be considered an overstayer and would have to leave the country before that.

I think now they are starting to count from the time they confirm your application. In your status does it say open or awaiting decision? Many people seem to be getting their confirmation email 2 months after submission.
Whenever there is a correction required it seems to take an extraordinary amount of time to get it rectified. Perhaps scrutiny and it having to be approved by a higher authority causes the delay.

Hi Ajitk,

Thank you for responding. It says awaiting decision, what does that mean? Do you think it will be rectified soon? And what does that mean when it comes to employment, can I work?

Hopefully, new letter will be sent soon as we need our passports as well. Its quite frustrating.

Hi,
Here my timeline:

EEA national PR application by post:

date sent: 10.08.17
Date received: 11.08.17
Payment Taken: 11.08.17

Applied with National Identity Card.

A relative of mine has applied via post she is also an EEA national, applied for EEA PR, her passports were returned 3days after application has been received by HO, does anyone know why, or did it happen to anyone else? She did not request them back or anything... It is very weird as far as i know passports are returned only when application was submitted online..she is still waiting for EEA PR docs and her recidency history docs that sent to prove 5 years...

Re: Permanent Residence Card - Processing Time 2017

Post by hari.s » Mon Aug 14, 2017 4:47 pm

Hello,

My spouse and I will be sending our PR applications over the next month or so.

We were wondering - in case we request for our passports to be returned, how are the Permanent Residence cards issued to us if not issued as vignettes on one of our passport pages?

Will they be cards much like the ILR cards?

Could anyone share what they physically look like?

Thanks,
Hari
