Does this mean my application has been cancelled or put on hold or it's in progress as normal.Family members of an EEA national, who are not themselves EEA nationals, wishing to return to the UK should apply for an EEA family permit at a British diplomatic post abroad before returning to this country. An EEA family permit is issued free of charge and on a priority basis. ...........................
No it doesn't mean that your application is cancelled or put on hold. They send the same letter to everyone who asks back documents. They sent the same to me! It only means that if you are travelling outside UK, you should have valid UK visa to re-enter UK and if you don't have that you can apply for EEA Family Permit. If you have valid visa already then don't worry about it.wi13b051 wrote:When I applied for EEA FM, I included a letter requesting for the return of our passports. I got the passport back today(29/08/2015) with a letter which states
"Your passports are being returned to enable you to travel.

I also only got my passport back. The EEA passport wasn't returned.
Can someone share more light?
Maybe my wordings gave them the choice of either sending mine or both.I write to make a request for the return of my passport. I would need the passport for travel purposes and other administrative processes during the ongoing process of my EEA2 Family Member residence card. Included in this application, is a prepaid envelope to help facilitate the passport(s) and/or other document return.

How long before your interview date did you receive a notice to appear for the interview?Windy wrote:Thank you, nora_804.nora_804 wrote:what kind of questions did you get during the interview?
My husband was interviewed first. It took him about 20 minutes. The questions were about how we met, both our families, job, car and house, hobbies, religion, anniversaries, gifts. Then I was asked the same questions. It took me less than 10 minutes. The interviewer was very polite. He thanked us for coming over.
I guess mostly the questions you are being asked depend on particular situations, particular stories.
I'd advise the couples who are having interview not giving answers which you're not 100 % sure of. It's better to say that you don't remember than to lie. HO officers are humans too. They'd understand that.
In the end the interviewer asked if I have something to comment on my RC app. I answered that it is very important to me to have this RC since I've been offered a good job and I need to support my husband financially.
When I was applying for RC we'd been married less than 1 year and also my visa was expired more than 6 months ago. Maybe that was the reason we were invited for interview.
opxa, I got a notice to attend the interview on 21st Aug one month earlier. It's one fixed date. Then you have to contact the interview team by email to confirm your attendance or inquire to change the date. They respond very quick.opxa wrote:How long before your interview date did you receive a notice to appear for the interview?
And did they give you a choice of dates or was it one fixed date when you had to show up?
And did they ask you to bring any additional documents?
Thanks.
thank you for the response windyWindy wrote:Thank you, nora_804.nora_804 wrote:what kind of questions did you get during the interview?

Thank you, asian_atheart.asian_atheart wrote:Hi Windy,
Congratulations on receiving your card! Just a couple of follow-up questions as well. How long were you married when you applied for the RC? And what visa were you on before switching to the EEA card?
Just trying to determine if couples who have been married for less time seem to be flagged up for interviews, so it will be helpful for others as well to know what to expect in teh process. Although hardly think there's any pattern for the way HO does things
Congrats and Thanks in advance,

I got it from a friend earlier this year and in my experience he responded in a reasonable amount of time. It is an organisation and they will act in your best interest. Have faith my dear, keep the fire burning and you'll soon get it! Happy bank holiday!Nina Roche wrote:K7bs, really?! I suggest you all send your complains to that email, you paid for this service and shouldn't be treated this way. The more complains the get the quicker they act and provide you better services. Let your voices be heard!!
I almost lost faith anyone who has power would care.
