Hi,

Did you try contacting them via phone or email? If you did, could you please share your experience?
I was told that it will take up to 21 days... I am waiting for mine still.. Hopefully we will get it soon.

opxa, I got a notice to attend the interview on 21st Aug one month earlier. It's one fixed date. Then you have to contact the interview team by email to confirm your attendance or inquire to change the date. They respond very quick.
We were requested to bring with us on interview mortgage billing statements, council tax statements, my husband's bank statements for the last 6 months, photos together, but the interviewer took only bank and council tax statements.

I've received a private message on this website, but I don't know why I am not authorized to read private messages.
Windy thank you for answering the questions about interview. It was me who had sent you private message regarding interview but you have answered already those, so you can ignore that. Few more questions if you can answer please -

Do you think money in bank account matters? Because both, me and my wife are kind of bankrupt :) so won't have more than 1000 pounds in both accounts! I am a student and only wife (EU national) is working.

Do they pay for the travel cost?

Thank you once again.

No problem, pardeep9020. Glad to share my experience.
I don't think that the amount of money on your bank account does really matter. I don't have bank account at all. We use my husband's account and spend monthly all the money on it almost till the last penny, like paying mortgage, council tax, utility bills, food, petrol, so on and so forth. That's what probably HO wants to check on: whether you are an ordinary family, where you get the money from and what you spend on. Not having enough money on bank account shouldn't disqualify you from getting RC.
What about the trip to Liverpool, no, Home Office doesn't cover the travel expenses.

Thank you once again Windy. In our case, we have rented a place and council tax, utility bills etc all are paid by the house owner so we don't have any such bill on our name and tenancy agreement that was on both names we have already submitted, hope HO won't give tough times with documents we don't have! I have heard after interview they issue RC very soon. Now, waiting for interview and RC :)

Much appreciate your helping hand!

Hi, we submitted biometrics on the same day. Just have to be patient. Can't believe they are being so irresponsible.

Post if you receive it this week. I'll do the same.

asian_atheart wrote:Hi Windy,
Congratulations on receiving your card! Just a couple of follow-up questions as well. How long were you married when you applied for the RC? And what visa were you on before switching to the EEA card?
Just trying to determine if couples who have been married for less time seem to be flagged up for interviews, so it will be helpful for others as well to know what to expect in teh process. Although hardly think there's any pattern for the way HO does things :-)

Congrats and Thanks in advance,
asian_atheart
Thank you, asian_atheart.
By the time I made application we had been married for 11 months. And I entered the UK with a 'visitor for marriage' visa which expired last august. But in this situation visa type doesn't really matter since only extended family members must have a valid EEA permit or residence card to stay in the UK.
Hi Windy,
Many thanks for your response and for sharing your experience! All the best!

Best wishes,

Hello all,
Just to let you know that my passports have been returned 8 working days after my request (signature updated below).
However, HO has not sent me back my original Marriage Certificate, despite my request along the passports. Does anyone know why?
Thanks!

I emailed the CoA team today to ask if my CoA was ready and had been posted to me. Will let you know if this was any good. Might try calling, but all posts here are quite discouraging :?

apeeal won: 08/2014
then college closed.
then applied eea2 (unmarried partner) with romanain national
went for marriage in council during application
home office came on ceremony day in council and got interview for 2.5 hours and refused my eea2 (unmarried partner) application with right of appeal, appeal loghed on 01/04/2015
after one week 08/04/2015, our marriage alowed , no home office came for interview. marriade succesfully done

application sent: 20/05/2015
bio matric got: 10/06/2016
coa got: 27/06/2015
rc: waiting
on 13/07/2015, i was invited interiveiw at harrow VFS and there was video conference interview and i was asked that in had submitted ets TOIECE in 2013 in tier4 application.
now my question to all friend, that one side my appleal of (unmarried partner) application is pending and its hearing date 20/01/2016, secondly i have submitted a fresh application EEA (FM) after marriage. is it affects and is there would be problem and toice will alo affect my current application.
kimdly if anyboday has same experience.

Maybe... but they already have a translated version, I'm not sure why they still need the original one in another language....
Anyway, I hope they send it back with the RC later...
