Just under 4 months. :D
Congratulations deeW!

Your timeline gives me hope that the 240 extra staff the HO started to hire in March (http://tinyurl.com/ycj7out6) are now working and that they are managing to get rid of the backlog!

I applied one day before you, my documents also arrived in Liverpool on the 13rd Apr and my Biometric letter was issued on the 12th Jun (done 16th) but unfortunately still haven't received my documents and PR back. Hopefully they are now looking into requests received mid-April and that my case is also resolved soon!

May I ask you what was your qualifying period and if the status of your application here http://tinyurl.com/y7d3m7ud still appears as Awaiting a decision or have they changed it to Decided?

Thank you!
Thanks vilsonrjunior,

My EEA-family Permit started in 2011 and applied just before it was expired. My wife never had WRS while she was working since 2004, so her qualifying period also started in 2011. She had few months gaps between her work and CMI, but all good.

The application status says: Decided (Application status updated on 23 July 2017)

Hopefully you will hear some good news soon.

My spouse and I will be sending our PR applications over the next month or so.

We were wondering - in case we request for our passports to be returned, how are the Permanent Residence cards issued to us if not issued as vignettes on one of our passport pages?

Will they be cards much like the ILR cards?

Could anyone share what they physically look like?

Thanks,

If you can apply online then go for it, this way you will keep the passports if you are EU or EU family member. PR card is a plastic card slightly bigger then driving license

Hi myganet,

Thanks for your response.

I remember just a couple of years back, if you asked for your passport back, they used to stamp your residence document on a very flimsy piece of paper and post it to you.
I don't really fancy being handed a PR document like that!

So the PR residence documentation is a card now (much like ILR)?

I remember this type of PR vignette being stamped on to the passport being the norm until recently.

Hi there,
Non-EU spouse via EU French Citizen:

Application sent: 21/03/2017
Application received: 22/03/2017,
Payment taken: 23/03/2017,
Confirmation email: 08/06/2017,
Biometric letter: 23/05/2017,
Biometric submit: 23/05/2017
COA-Dated:29/05/2017,

PR confirmation+documents received: 11/08/2017

Biometric card received: Pending/ but should arrive today 14/08/2017 so just under 5 months total. :D

I have lived and worked in the UK for 13 years, during the application we did receive professional advice from an immigration lawyer which as hired by the firm which wants to recruit my wife. They were keen to get the PR sorted for her to start work there asap. For my job I generally switch between contracts(paye) and freelance so the lawyer advised I send original HMRC documents/ SA32 forms which I requested by calling HMRC.

If you are an EU national you get a blue card about 9 inches long and 3 inches wide foldable with 3 sections. On one page you have a vignette specifying your status. Non EU nationals get a driver's licence kind of card.

Hi Guys,

Got a question, In the PR COA of an non-eea with right to work, does it states when the application was submitted? I am curios as to the exact wording on the letter, this, as means to provide the employer with the statutory excuse from when the application was made rather than when the letter was issued.

Calling doesn't not help. I have tried. If you don't need the COA, I would just wait, If you think you might need it, and your spouse is exercising the treaty rights, or already has permanent residence, your should send an email to nweurocoarequest@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk Explain to them your situation an request your COA. If you already did, keep emailing once week until you received it. That's what I would do.

Hi vpalma
Thank u for ur reply I don't really need COA at the moment because my company didn't ask for it and my wife don't have resident permit yet . So yes you are right the best think is to just wait for another month and I really hope bye the end of September I will get positive answer from Homeoffice .
I don't understand one thing till 11 of August I was able to see my status and suddenly it's just say not regonised I have tried ever number even case id without 0 but not regonised. But still hope will be positive answer.
Thanks

Hello Internaute, this is the link to check the status of your application online http://tinyurl.com/y7d3m7ud

You can use your ID case and, if it starts with a 0, make sure you only type the digits after that.

Good luck!

Hi everybody,

I want to share my timeline for EEA PR … quite interesting actually …

Me (Non-EEA) & my wife (EEA) applied for EEA PR as separate applicants on 28-03-2017.

Received by HO on 29-03-2017 … payment deducted on 30-03-2017.

Both received an email confirming that our applications are being considered on 22-05-2017.

Me (Non-EEA) received a biometric letter after almost 2 months on 24-05-2017 and biometrics were given the same day.

COA was received on 29-05-2017.

And since then there wasn’t any correspondence.

I have to fly abroad on 21-09-2017 which was only 1 week short of 6 months time window. So I thought why shouldn’t I ask for my passport back. So on 03-08-2017 I filled up an online application form for the return of passport, clicking that I do not want to withdraw my application.

And surprisingly on 15-08-2017 I received my BRP with the issue date 10-08-2017 followed by my wife (EEA) residence card and other remaining documents on 16-08-2017.

But both on our letters which we received from home office there is a paragraph which states ‘ Based on the information you provided with your application, the date on which you are deemed to have acquired permanent residence in UK is 08-03-2017’ … so does it mean we do not have to wait 12 months to apply for British citizenship ??? We can apply now anytime ???

It was an interesting chain of events … thought to share it with you guys.

Good luck every one !!!

I also got my decision after requesting the passports back, it could be a coincidence though!

In regards to applying for BC, you can do so after 12 months from the date on the letter, so after the 08/03/2018

Great!!! I hope you are reinstated immediately. As I felt, it would antagonise your employer if you went to the tribunal and the letter has come pretty soon after. Hope all goes well.
