Has anyone submitted print of electronic copy of P45

My previous employer has not provided me hard copy for P45.
As per him print of PDF is suffice.

Can anyone please confirm?

you need to get a letter from previous employer saying
P45 is printed from company's online system and authentic on a company headed paper

I have checked on HMRC website. It says that employer should submit P45 online once its employee leaves the company and then print this P45 on plain A4 paper and provide it to employee.

I have P45 in my email which I can print on A4 and show it to CW

I had already requested my previous employer - he says that now a days P45 is acceptable electronically.
