Entering UK after 6th April with a PSW

Hi there,

Something really weird popped up in my mind whilst going through the terms on UKBA website. I have two queries.

A. I already have a PSW which I obtained in India (valid from 2 apr 2012- 2 apr 2014) My doubt is if I had to enter UK before 6th April 2012 or is it still possible for me to UK ? FYI, I'm still in India

B. Few of my friends told me that I have to enter UK at least once within 6 months of obtaining the visa. Is it true ? Because I shall be going to the US on 24th and I don't think I can leave US before Nov. Do you think I should visit London for a couple of days on my way to US ?
