What to do if I lose my GNIB card?

If I lose my GNIB card:

Should I report it to Garda office and file a complaint before going to GNIB for replacement.
OR
Do I go directly to GNIB for a replacement?

Is there a process that I should follow?

its your duty to report any lost property to gardai. i think you should report to your local garda station first.than you should visit gnib office.good luck

and dont forget to take a letter from grada station. gnib wil ask for it,
