Evidence that accountant is regulated

Post by golu » Sun Apr 22, 2012 5:37 pm

hi All,

Hoping limited company directors and self employed members will be able to help.

The guide to fill the form Set O mentions that accountant, providing the accountant letter, must be regulated and evidence must be provided that the accountant is regulated.

Do we have to provide any document saying that accountant is regulated by one of the institutes they have mentioned in the guide?

can anyone who has already applied can shed some light on it please?

thanks,

there is no issue as long as accountant got certification from one of the institutes. This would appear at accountant's letter head or below his/her signature. (Example: ACCA, CIMA after the accountant's name). If they got any different certification that is not listed and accountant feel it is covered then you may need to give some supporting evidence from accountant.

Hi Selva

My accountant has MAAT & MICB, I guess these are accountancy related qualifications? Any clue if HO will be happy with this?

Thanks
