1. Type of application: Switching
2. If changing from :PSW to Tier 2
3. Date of expiry of current leave (visa) : March- 2012
4. Date application posted : 13 Feb 2012 (Royal Mail next day delivery)
5. Date payment debited : Postal Order
6. Payment mode : Postal Order
7. Acknowledgement letter received : 15 Feb 2012
8. Date Letter for Biometric received: 02 March 2012
9. Date Biometrics were taken : 07 Mar 2012
7. Date passport received : 26-Apr-2012
8. Date Biometric card received: 25-Apr-2012 (dx secure)

About 7 weeks from Biometric taken to receiving Passport and Biometric card

Good luck for those waiting for their Visa.

How long did the whole process take? How many months before my expiry date do i have to start the application?
