Hello All,

I need some help. I don't know which options to choose on the first page of the online visa application form at http://www.britainusa.com / http://visa4uk.fco.gov.uk . I'm an HSMP already in the UK. My wife is a US citizen applying from Arizona. There are a lot of options for Purpose of Visit and Type of Visit and I really need to make the right selection as our application is time sensitive.

So, on a separate thread I discovered that we need to complete form VAF1 as a dependent of a person in a long-stay category...but how to I indicate that with the seemingly limitless selection combinations on visa4uk?

These are a few of the choices I'm considering:

Permit Free Employment : Dependants more than 6 months
Work Permit Holder : Work Permit dependant more than 6 months
Settlement : Wife

I'm hoping that someone here has been through this as an HSMP and can point me in the right direction.

select Work Permit Dependent for more than 6 months and when you print the application stike that and replace it with HSMP Dependent, thats what they told me to do
