Do i need a biometric card

Post by kedaiapps » Thu May 10, 2012 11:18 am

Hi there

I was granted a Tier2 (general) in March 2010

The Visa clearing office did not inform to get a biometric card

I recently rang the home office and they said i dont need one... only new applicants do. Now these people who answer the phone sometimes are not thoroughly trained. The gave me wrong info about maintenance funds in the past

My friend who got a tier 2 on the same year... applied for a biometric cards

Do i need one? My lawyer in 2010 said no need...now he says i do... some people should not be lawyers!

BRP s are issued when one applies from within UK and applies under a category for which a BRP is issued.

Read the "Biometric residence permits - application process" (PDF) available on this UKBA webpage.
