WTC and CTC HELP

Hi there me and my wife are receiving WTC&CTC jointly. My question is if i have x amount in my bank account which most of it is tax credit payments made direct in to the account do i have to declare that to HMRC? or is it just the interest on savings that i have to tell them about. also will this affect our entitlement to tax credits. Going to fill there renewal pack soon. Does the money from tax credits have to be used or can it accumulate in a savings account. i know the last question probably a bit daft but i would rather not use that money but let it build up. Any help would be grateful.
