NewBorn Passport and travel to India

Hi,
We are on Tier-I applying for ILR now. I have a 3 mnth old baby and we wanted to travel to India in July/August. Can we send the passport and registration applications to HCI together or do we need to register first and then apply for Visa. Also will we need to apply for Tier-I for baby to travel? Can the baby go to India with just the passport and then maybe I travel back later with the Tier-I for the baby. Or can we apply for ILR directly?

Was the child born in the UK?
Are you applying for settlement by post or in-person? When?

we are in UK. Baby was born here in UK and we are on Tier-I (Gen).
Will apply for ILR in oCT 2012 but need to travel to India urgently in July.

if u want to take baby india u have to apply for indian passport and then dependant visa for baby as u have T1 visa u can take the baby just with passport but it will create a headache for u to get the visa for the baby from india as they will not allow your baby to board flight to uk without
