Please don't write stories ... its difficult to read such long posts. Refer to the other threads to understand what type of cover letters you need. There is no set format, you can use any format you want.

The documents look okay. I would have also included a letter from the main applicant stating that he / she wishes to sponsor the dependants (not mandatory)

Thanks for your reply.

I just read dependent policy guidance again and couldn't find any where mentioning single copy or separate copy for each dependant applying together.

One copy should suffice for both.

Just wondering - if it is Tier - 1extension dependent visa pplication why do we need to submit marriage certificate and photographs again? I would have that was needed for the first application made by teh dependent?
Seniors can you kindly confirm. Sorry for hijacking the thread

Its like Better safe than sorry. You are not required to submit those docs again but its always better to do so.

I totally agree to you allgo. First time, they gave visa was after satisfying themselves with all the documents. No need of marriage certificate again.

Hello allgo
There have been many people on this forum who have applied for extension of their dependents and did not submit their marriage certificate (again). The more documents you provide the more it becomes a liability for the UKBA to verify each document, which eventually delays the process more. The rest is for you to decide

I have recently(2 Days back) made an application for extension of leave for my wife and kid, after I got my visa extension thru PEO.Their Visa is expiring on 1st june2012.I am sure it will take quite some time by the time they get their extension. Is it legal for them to stay in UK beyond their current leave, when the application is under process with UKBA?

If they are covered Under immigration laws,Could you please name that section?

Thanks and Regards,
Chandra

Check this link on UKBA website Immigration Status while application is being decided, which clearly status that an applicant continues to maintain his previous visa status.
