Application Type: Tier-1 general extension (main applicant only)
Current Leave expires on: 01-Aug-2012
Income source: 7 months employed + 4 months self employed (Director of limited company)
Documents submitted:
For Employed Earnings:
Payslips
Letter from Employer
P45
Personal bank statement
For Self Employed Earnings (Director of limited company)
Payslips
Dividend vouchers
Letter from accountant
Income breakdown summary from accountant
Personal bank statement
business bank statement
P60
Invoices
copy of contracts with employment agency
Here's the timelines:
07:30 - Reached Croydon Office (appointment boocked for 08:00 AM)
07:35 - Security gate crossed
07:50 - Appointment reference/passport/application checked and stamped, ticket number issued, instructed to go to first floor for payment
08:00 - Payment cleared through Debit Card (Payment queue was about 10 mins)
08:15 - Instructed to fo to 2nd floor for biometric enrolment
08:45 - Biometric enrolled (after waiting for turn for 30 mins) and then waiting to be called by a case worker
09:25 - Ticket number called by case worker to come to counter. The case worker requested to provide the following in order:
1. Payment receipt
2. Main application
3. Photos
4. All evidence that you would like to submit
5. Copy of the degree (asked by case worker)
12:30 - Case worker called and apologize for delay, and said it is taking time since your application is "self employed"
12:45 - Case worker called again, showed me the paper showing visa extension has been approved, and the new grant of leave is until 01-Aug-2015 (Lucky enough to get it from 01-Aug-2012 until 01-Aug-2015!)
12:50 - Handed over the approval letter and all the documents and mentioned that i will received BRP by post in 7 working days.
12:55 - Out of Lunar House, Tension Free for 3 years!
