Income required for Tier 1 holder

Post by kpyc » Thu May 24, 2012 3:31 pm

Hi there, I just received my tier one extension. I first applied my tier one (switched from WP) in March 2009, extension granted May 2012. I will be eligible for ILR in 2013 (WP started Sept 2008). My question is, will my income requirement be based on the points system before or after April 2010?

I saw on some immigration website that my points will be based on when I FIRST obtained my visa, so the points system prior to rules change in April 2010, hence with a lower income requirement.

however, when i looked at the application form for ILR (set o), it says 'where previous leave as a Tier 1 (General) Migrant was
granted under the Rules in place on or after 6 April 2010'. Now my extension is granted after this date.

What is the truth?

Thanks!

It is always wise to read the guidance .... before the form.

Read settlement policy guidance and see also Confused - date of application or date of issue of leave?.

Reading FAQs for ILR - WP/Tier 1/Tier 2/HSMP holders will be useful.
