Dependent visa- maintenance

Hi,

My wife is on PSW visa at the moment. I will be applying as her dependent soon. How much money shall I maintain in my account and for how many months??

I asked a friend and he told me that its £600 pounds for 9 months...so total £5400 pounds and it has to be in the account for at least 6 months. Is it correct? please help.

Do my wife needs to show any money for herself?
