Permanent Residence Application

Post by Bivo » Wed Jun 06, 2012 12:54 am

Dear all,

This is my first post on this forum and I truly appreciate your help.

Let me explain my case.

My nationality is Romanian, Romania joined EU on 1.01.2007. On 23 March 2008 I been issued with an Worker Accession Card as an Au Pair. On 09 May 2009 I applied in person at PEO Croydon for my Registration Certificate under EEA law , which I received on the same day. Since than I have worked as an employee without any restrictions. Now my question is when is the earliest opportunity to apply for a document certifying Permanent Residence? Can I count my year spent as an Au Pair towards the 5 years period needed for Permanent Residence? If so , how am I able to prove my time spent as an Au Pair hence my Worker Accession Card been retained by the UKBA immigration officer at the time I applied for Registration Certificate? Unfortunately I do not have a copy from my old Worker Accession Card

Basically I had the status as Au Pair under EEA law so I suppose I can count that year?

I wait for your kind responses,

Daniel Cristian
