Life in the UK Test

Dear All,

I am on Teir 1 General before April 6 2010.

I am due to apply for my ILR to remain shortly. I want to know when it's required to do the life in the UK test. Can i do it anytime or there is a minimum and a muximum time frame?

Yes you can do it any time or now if you want. there is no Exp. Date for LIUK test.

Yeah! You can do your test anytime... I have just done my LIUK test.

Please ignore if you are already aware - There are 24 Questions, you need to answer at least 18 correct. The test last for 45 minutes.

Primary applicant + anyone who is 18+ years has to pass the LIUK test.

You cannot do LIUK test anytime.
You can only do it when test centre is open.

Glad! You haven't mentioned that, one needs to be in the UK to do the exam!!!

But the test centres are only in UK, so they will only be open in UK, there is no other choice.

I agree with asim72, you cannot do the exams anytime because you have to book an appointment and sometimes it may be difficult to get a slot for the time you want. The test centres are not walk-in centres!! So you cannot do the exam anytime. BTW you need to book the test early to avoid missing out on a slot that is convinient for you.

There are some special test centres located in Germany to cater to special cases !

After passing life in uk test if someone move home then is there any requirement to tell to the test center about this change of home?
