Tier1 (G) earning points query

Post by tcpip_helper » Tue Jun 26, 2012 2:24 pm

Hi,

To qualify for earning points your earning must be within the last 12 months, let say the 12 month period is from 1st January 2011 - 31 December 2011, if some one worked in December 2010 and got his salary in his bank in January 2011, would that count?

another similar question is if someone got his salary for the month of January 2012 in his bank account on 20th december 2011, would that count as well?

thanks in advance.

Does your payslips shows the range of date for the salary paid or just say the month for which the salary is paid for. For eg. in my payslip, it only says pay for month ending March 09. The break down of pay doesn't include dates, it only shows the items, likes basic pay, weekend enhancements, weeday enhancements, Overtime, etc. If this is the case, it doesn't matter what you are paid for in each month as it doesn't clarify the dates. However, if it does, then I don't think you can show salary of 13 months of work in 12 month payslips.

Also, think about this. If all your payslip have a basic pay of 1000 and the last payslip have basic pay of 2000, don't you think it will rise suspicion of the case worker. Just a thought.

You can only show payslips for the 'period of earnings'. So if you worked in December 2010 and got your pay in Jan 2011, and wish to consider this pay, then your period of earning (i.e December 2010) also needs to be considered.
Your payslip is your evidence for the period of earnings you wish to claim for. So irrelevant when you get paid, you can only consider the pay you receive for the period of earnings claimed
